Wouldn't the closer assumption be that you simply strained your knee a bit?

It sounds a bit like head banging for a night, waking up and thinking "OMG by neck hurts. I got spinal cancer!"
Usually it surely is correct that only you even know it. Since everyone else has forgotten it. However, there are also those things you know are not forgotten.

I hate it when I suddenly remember something embarassing/stupid/etc. I did in the past, making me cringe hard.
I love it to see other people describing how they hate it. Since I hate it too.^ Oh dear me yes!
That happens to me far too often.
Hopefully, though, I'm far too uninteresting for anyone else to remember the event(s).
