Social anxiety is not a character trait, it's a thing you experience. It can be changed. There are many ways, but all involve either work or changing your core beliefs and values.

Today I learned how much pain a falling spoon can cause if hits your toe at just the right angle.
I also got a cold and will probably spend the majority of the day shivering under a blanket.

Plot twist: there's almond snickers.
gimme gimme gimme

Or super duper magic upper pills.

Don't settle for SSRIs, get SNRIs for WHEEEEEEEE in your brain

(and combine with red bull for pure magic).

So today whilst working, a lady asked me if she could try on some trousers and then put them back.

I thought she asked me to put them back ...

I apologised, pointing out that my ears were useless with hearing aids in them.

I forgot to ask for a hard of hearing badge, but I'm only there for one more week.

Having both doesn't even make me special ?

Nope, sorry bro, I got both myself. Ain't nothing special I guess. D:

Both my therapists (the one I had a while back and my current one) told me they often go hand in hand.

You don't need to be special.

Someone (I want to say warpus) made a good post about going the extra mile and supporting LGBT instead of just tolerating them 'you do you' and I can't find it. :(

I'm not really sure why people need to go the extra mile to support me.

But if that is the case, then buy me a house.

In the current market? Impossible, old chap. But you can always come for advice to teh CFC, including the Late Night thread, or -if you dare ;)- fiftychat.

It's amazing how resistant people are to change themselves, is if they're already their best incarnation.

Ugh. I cannot get my videos to show up on the first page of search result in YouTube. I've tried all the "search engine optimization" tricks and methods I can find, but none of them seem to work.

One thing I read says YouTube puts a heavy emphasis on view count to decide which results to display. If so, that's pretty damn unfair as it ensures that only established YouTubers continue to get new views and subscribers while preventing anyone new from breaking onto the scene.

Ugh, for some reason, Facebook is spamming me with notifications even though I've closed the bloody thing.

Isn't google just so great?

I find it amazing how resistant we are to change ourselves, too.

But I notice that, by implication, you've succeeded in changing yourself.

What did you change, though? It surely wasn't your ability to change, was it?

And how do you know you really have changed? Isn't it possible that your course was already determined, and you merely followed it without changing at all really? Not so much change as evolution, maybe.

I know people grow up from little babies to adults, but we nearly all do that, so I doubt that this sort of change is what you mean.

Im currently changing myself a lot!

Is it you that's doing the changing? Or is the changing something that's happening to you?
