I ain't gotta explain a thing
My parents seem to fail to understand that stressing me up to 11 doesn't make me work better
I just don't really have the confidence to cold call companies and offer my services even though I had business cards made. I just start to feel like I don't look professional or I'll come across as a moron. I even thought of passing out my card in the park or putting up flyers but I just felt really awkward about it and couldn't do it.
Also, fun fact, in Bulgaria, when people sneeze, there's a popular superstition that this is because someone's swearing at them.
Do you know how hard it is to find ways to learn Breton?
REALLY. HARD. I'll just have to go to Brittany when my French is good enough.
It gets easier after the first couple of times. Think about it this way - what do you have to lose? Before you make the call, they aren't going to magically know about you and hire you. And if you make the call and you don't get the gig, you're actually better off than before because at least now they know about you and may think of you in the future if something that requires your services comes up.
Why do you want to learn Breton?
From my couple of weeks of slave labour:
- Customers who remove the labels / price tags / barcode from clothes when trying them on and then don't buy them.
- Customers who think they are being helpful by putting clothes back where they got them from after trying them on, instead of putting them on the rail outside the changing rooms stating to leave them there and a member of staff will put them back ...
THEY FRIGGING MESS UP THE PERFECT HANGER POSITION, DONT REDO FASTENINGS, DONT SIZE ORDER AND MAKE THE CLOTHES SECTION LOOK LIKE AN ABSOLUTE MESS!
Stupid customers.
