Aren't they both essentially kebab food?
^Actually it appears they are quite different meat. Regardless of what meat it is or what it is supposed to be 
Eg i had doner and shish in London (doubt there is any here due to gyros) and it tastes very different. Iirc gyros is *supposed* to be pork (?). Doner/shish is (again supposedly) lamb (?)
They look different too (gyros is closer to doner, but with other meat and larger and non-continuous cuts, whereas doner is one roll afaik).

Just got an offer to send my Cv to a language learning office
My thoughts -
I have studied 4 languages at university - English, Latvian, Latin, Lithuanian. In some courses and self-studied - Polish, German, French, Russian.
Nowadays languages aren't valuable themselves, just as tools to do something else.
I have earned total less than 100 euros from Latvian/Russian/English private lessons and translating from English a bit.
If I don't plan to be a corrector, editor or a translator, I can't see much of a reason to further my language studies. Every next language just makes me smarter, but there are no cash returns for time spent. I could improve my Japanese or pick up Czech, but why? For self-education my head is full of physics formulae already.
