So, today I'll be working until ten pm and tomorrow from ten am.
That's at least within the legal limit. and leaves room for eight hours of sleep + breakfast. Maybe I'll even shave and shower.
Still dickish. They have to do this because of staff shortages. It's not going to solve their problem in the long term. I'll hand in my resignation tomorrow (won't have time today) and start looking for another job.
The good thing about our great economy is that crappy jobs are easily replacable.

You do what you have to do, but it is usual to do it the other way round, ie. start looking for another job, and resign when you have a firm written offer in your hand.

I have to give four weeks notice and a month is plenty of time to find a new job. Not a good job, but one that isn't worse than this one.
This morning I woke up 2 minutes before the alarm was supposed to go off. I look at the clock, and realize the alarm is in the off position. So I turn it on, and the alarm goes off when it's supposed to. I then realize that I'm not going in to work today, and that's why the alarm was turned off.

I have a work colleague who, whenever you ask him how he's doing, says: Well, I woke up today; that's better than the alternative.
Because I woke up. And I wanted to sleep a couple more hours.
That sort of is a rave, by itself, rather than in this situation. There's probably been a couple 100 times in my life that I woke up when I needed to be awake, despite not having a proper alarm set.
Definitely. I did this during the summer.
