I know, right? :)

I'd like to pay my credit card bill. :hatsoff:
I attempted to log onto my bank's website, but it has a new system :wallbash: I no longer answer a security question; I now must retrieve a security code which they email me.
I went to my email account, which I found myself locked out of.
I attempted to log in, but was informed I must reset my browser to accept cookies.
My browser is already set to accept cookies..
:undecide:

I messed around for about a half hour this morning. I don't know what I did, but apparently I did it right. Logged in to email & to bank. Bill paid.

Some guy with serious mental health problems snapped and ran down a bunch of people in Toronto yesterday....

The whole coverage of this is pissing me off. The guy is white so it is "mental illness" rather than "terrorism".
Mentally Ill or Terrorist.jpg

It's both.

But I don't know about him being a terrorist. His motive hasn't been released yet, has it? I know he made a post on his Facebook about liking the good old fashioned Incels philosophy.

Well he did attend a "Special Needs" school and was known to walk around some high school with his hands clasped tightly together while making meowing noises.....

My kitchen sink is throwing up other people's dirty wash water again. :gripe:

This was supposed to have been fixed a year ago.

Yet whenever someone other than whitey goes on a mass killing they are called a terrorist first and foremost. A couple years ago a guy in St Cloud, who was Muslim with some pretty severe mental health issues went on a stabbing spree and yelled something about ISIS. As a result, the media turned it into a "ISIS HAS AGENTS IN THE HEART OF MINNESOTA" on the front page. That the guy had severe mental health issues was quietly mentioned below the fold on page 4.

I also knew a handful of these "incel" and women haters in high school and college and they were some of the creepiest, least sympathetic people I've ever encountered.

Well, the plumber and a security guy came and looked at the situation (not sure why the security guy was there; maybe so the plumber wouldn't get lost, or maybe it's a new rule that they have to accompany repairmen who come after-hours) and has promised to fix it either tomorrow afternoon or Friday. He mentioned something about May, but I said I wasn't going to put up with my sink regurgitating other people's filthy wash water, particularly if there was a risk of the sink overflowing.

So hopefully everything will be fixed by Friday.

You've just reminded me of Cypher desperately screaming ‘It's an Agent!’ in The Matrix.

my limited knowledge of surnames and stuff leads me to imagine he is a Canadian of Armenian descent , to make much "sense" with the colour revolution that's currently happening in country and some guy thinks he should send a message that they too have "suicide bombers" . And yeah , Washington still did not use that word ....

and how horrible . With that Canadian cop making an arrest without pumping 9 full magazines into the suspect .

Maybe if he had been black.

There's still the problem of racial profiling up here but even our worst aren't as trigger-happy as law enforcement down in the US.

Yeah, it is almost funny, when I first heard the story I didn't know where it happened so I was assuming it was the US, so my first thought was, WOW, they subdued the guy without pumping him full of lead. Then heard the guy wasn't black and then it wasn't the US, and it all started to sound more believable.

My internet was out for a week so I played a lot of Fallout New Vegas. Then my internet turned back on so I turned Steam back to online mode and the Steam Cloud ate all my saves!

I'm having a hard time articulating how deeply I can't be bothered to see Infinity War.

It's not that I don't care. That's the problem, there's a nagging sense that I have to see it, or I'll be even more out of the MCU loop than I usually am. But there is just so much of it, and now if I want to make any sense of the next Guardians of the Galaxy I have to sit through two hours of spandex lads I half-remember gurning about vibranium and why won't God just let me die.

It's almost a shame that it's basically guaranteed to make a trillion dollars, but it'll just encourage them to do more of this sort of thing.

I'm waiting for the superhero movie fad to die out. It's getting a little tiring to hear about it.

i thoroughly enjoyed black panther upon finally seeing it last night, which was weird, because marvel movies typically bore me to death

watched age of ultron on a plane and if not for the fact that i can't sleep on planes i know i wouldn't have made it through that one
