That's rough @MagisterCultuum. Hang in there dude.

I think my carport neighbor is an alcoholic. There've been a half dozen travel size liquor bottles that wind up in my stall. Then I came home one day and he was unloading a big case of wine, like 15 bottles. Then today I came home and there were two more liquor bottles by his car door. I kind of put two and two together then, before I didn't know where the bottles were coming from. Maybe it isn't him but there's no pave at the end of his stall and his stall is perpendicular to mine. If he is drunk driving, it'd be trivially easy for him to give my car a little love tap on accident.

My tooth fell out last night, and fell down the sink as I was brushing my teach, and I had to take the drain apart to find it.

Why would you go to that effort just to find a lost tooth?

It wasn't a live tooth. It was a cap. And I have some small hope that it may be in good enough condition to glue back into place, rather than having a new one made.

After all the people calling me racist on the Jordan Peterson thread for not toeing the line on black identity politics, nothing is more therapeutic than realizing many progressives believed theocracy was imminent in the US a decade and a half ago.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't mean to hijack thread with politics. Just wanted to get that out.

You have to own up to not checking it. I'd wonder what else your coworker's doing with that variable.
My post was kind of a humblebrag to be honest. I am owning up to it; the bragging comes because I've seen soooo many people in similar situations throw their colleagues under the bus for far less almost reflexively. My coworker is young enough that he has probably never encountered it except possibly at school (where it doesn't really matter 99% of the time) and therefore doesn't know how much of a solid I am doing him by publicly (and fully) owning the mistake in front of customers. But yeah, I didn't check it but I did ask to confirm it before I used it. He doubled-down on wrong information and while yes, it is up to me to check my own work always, it's not really reasonable to have to have to double check everything your coworkers do at all times. At some point you are relying on them to check their own work but in this case, absolutely it's on me for taking him at his word and not double checking beyond asking questions.

Just a joke about Italians and their love for wine, and also other observations I've made of groups of Italians travelling and/or living together

Yet this dude has had me on ignore for two years for saying "so many salty white people" claiming it makes me a racist

Oh I didn't know you guys had beef

Now I'm confused, but if you ever have to stay in a building with 20-30 Italians, you will understand the word "infestation", and you will notice how much wine is consumed.

I've been talking to Lexicus about something different.
