My dishwasher is acting up again. It refuses to wash my dishes it just wants to beep now. It's happened before and I've sorted it but I can't for the life of me remember what I did.

At least it's not trying to wash dishes and throwing up dishwater all over the place like the last one my parents had......
The apartments here come with a dishwasher. I'd rather have extra cupboard/storage space. Whoever designed the kitchens here evidently never considered that people need more than one drawer (one for cutlery and one for tools/catch-all).

Hello, this is tech-support... Have you tried unplugging it and then plugging it in (or turning its circuit-breaker off and then on)...?
(Seriously though, that solution — firmware reboot — fixed our new not-so-smart-TV, when it stopped downloading/streaming stuff properly less than a month after we got it)

Netflix is in extremely early stages on Mega-City One. The title implies the series could feature other 2000 AD characters, and lots of production companies are becoming interested in "shared universe" IPs. Netflix is already well underway on Mark & Lucy Millar's "Millarworld" (Wanted, Kingsman and Kick-Ass were all Millar properties). Karl Urban has said he'd be down, so if they can get it together, they'll have their Dredd. I haven't read anything about Olivia Thirlby, but she has done a series before (Goliath, for Amazon).

I screwed up at work. I needed to use a variable for a formula and I wasn't sure which one to use. I asked a coworker who showed me one to use. I asked him where it came from and if it was correct and he said it was a legacy variable and yeah it was correct. So I used it and it turned out to be off by a factor of three, which is kind of a big problem.
I'm glad I caught it and my coworker actually reminded me that he was the one who told me to use it (I forgot) but it's on me. I should have checked the variable before I used it. On the other hand, having to double check everything a coworker tells you isn't really practical. In any case I'm never going to mention the backstory on the error because I'm not a douchebag; I just have to own it.

Get a sponge and detergent. And rubber gloves.

HFCS isn't a beverage. It's an ingredient, and has been given an undeserved very bad rap.
I'm not sure about the bad rap. At least the proportion in which USian industries tend to use them seems to be awful.
Then again, I was appealing to Synsensa's Dutch-cum-Canadian-ness. After all, he does seem to have an affinity for things related to maples.

To steal a joke from twitter -
La Croix tastes like you're drinking carbonated water and someone in the next room over yells the name of a specific fruit through the wall.
I accidentally tried a knock-off of La Croix for the first time this past week, coincidentally. It's awful. We buy flavored, sugarless carbonated water that's pretty awesome. We decided to try another brand to branch out and picked a knock off La Croix (had never heard of La Croix before then) and boy were we dissapointed.
I prefer the fake stuff. I know I'm a heretic but I was raised on it and I much prefer it to the real thing.
