I've just been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease (which attacks the thyroid).

How much crap can happen in one year? FML

My mother had her thyroid extirpated two years ago, because she had a nodule or some kind of possibly cancerous tissue there. She has to take pills every day, to regulate hormones and maintain calcium levels.

I have a thyroid nodule, although a biopsy showed it wasn't malignant so don't have to worry too much about cancer. Apparently I'm most likely headed for hypothyroidism which means I'll need the hormone replacement pills as well

My mother's nodule wasn't malignant either. The previous analysis gave a false positive, and when they got it out they rechecked and found out it wasn't malignant. :facepalm: (this site really needs a facepalm smiley)

I have the ACT Saturday. Meanwhile, my school friends are in Stratford, ON, and my church friends are doing laser tag. I'd be fine missing one for the other, I just hate the idea of missing both for the freaking ACT.

I also have the ACT tomorrow and I really haven't done anything to prepare for it.

I wish it wasn't so hard and such a long process to get a girl to like you. Why are they such difficult creatures? It's even hard to pick up on the "signs" they apparently give out if they are interested.

No point trying to figure out women. There's not a man jack of us has ever come close, is my best guess.

But my point is, though it may not win you a woman, it won't do any harm either.

I've hypothyroidism... so long as you take the pills, it isnt too bad. Hopefully you arent scared of needles as lots of bloodwork is required, least in my case.
