Perhaps, though I do hope to get some government grants. Still, I just don't feel the drive to go to college, which makes me feel nervous, for lack of a better word, to go to college. I feel like I'd be going more out of expectation and necessity than an actual desire. I don't know, maybe I'm still too young to be looking towards college, but I just can't help but feel worried.

Well if you don't know what you want to study then there isn't much to be excited about is there?

Hopefully, if you do go to CC, you will quickly find a field that interests you (though this could easily take a full 2 years) and you can then shift toward that goal.

On the other hand, if you really don't want to go, I would suggest finding a job now anywhere you can find one to start building skills and experience for later. Waiting till your out of high school to start any work without a college degree is going to push back the date you can move out by several years unless you luck out and find an awesome job.

Finding a job now is pretty much out of the question. I live in a rural area with few jobs, and I have no driver's license yet. (I'm going to be getting my learner's permit next year, though.) The best chance I'd have at a job would probably be part-time work at Walmart. Moving out is unlikely as well, for honest but classified reasons.

Consider getting a one or two year GASCE if you can. It looks good on your resume, and you can take whatever you want (there are a couple compulsories, but that's it). A lot of people who are nervous, indifferent, or unsure about college and their future get it.

Hell, I'm getting it and I'm not even any of those things!

Note: I just realized that it's only called a GASCE here in Canada... Have a look at this and see if you can find something similar nearby, maybe?

I do expect to go to college, and I probably will do fairly well, but it's still nothing to look forward to. Oh well, I've blown an hour away online worrying about something that won't happen for more than a year. Time to get back to that stupid essay about Sydney Carton. ("Write a topical outline about him? What, are you nuts? How am I supposed to do that?")

My friend tries to hook me up with one of her friends. "y'all are so similar and would be perfect together!" she says. I meet the guy, and I'm pretty offended tbh.

Well then it's a shame that your friend misjudged you so badly. :(

I'd probably be insulted as well.

Errr. Ewww. No really? You did that?

Well they saran wrapped the sac so it wasn't gay or anything.

Nah mine was better. I had to sit in a tub of rotten fish in water and drink a bottle of rum while the bros took turns flogging me.

Even if you decide you don't want to go to college, I still recommend getting the certificate or diploma. It's better than a high-school diploma and depending on the courses you take, can bump you up a little in consideration for certain job fields.

Lovely. Now my failure is official. 2/5, we shall see what comes next.

Rant: I got exposed to some carbon monoxide (its a good thing i remembered the safety booklet). Not enough to be actually dangerous, per se, but enough to make me feel pretty yucky.

I don't want to know how you got exposed to CO.

Rant: I'm a victim of bias and prejudice on this forum. [pissed]

And this time I have the screenshots to prove it.

You have to drop this. I can talk to you over PM but u can't talk about this here.
Well, Plut is on a humiliation conga line :(.
