Not to mention a number of stars already on the path to Supernovae themselves... :mischief:

(I'm looking at you, Betelgeuse!)

Oh yuck. I just yanked some sort of small bug off of my ankle as it was in the middle of chomping it.

My fantasy football leagues held drafts last night and I was confused about the day and thought it was tonight and... damn :(

 Nay, I've never won a league even when I participated in the draft. Didn't do horrible last year (4th and 3rd), but certainly not great either!

Last year I was in my first fantasy league. I had a few good picks that were generally agreed to be good picks (like the Houston Texans defense), a few picks that I thought would be good but weren't (like Shady McCoy and the Dog Whisperer), and a few picks that were okay but not particularly spectacular (like Marques Colston).

And then I grabbed RG3, because the Washington news media had encouraged me to take him out of all proportion to the value that everybody else had on him. And I picked up All Day because everybody else thought he would be crap from the injury the previous year, while I had an unrealistic expectation of how quickly he would recover. And I grabbed Demaryius Thomas because what the hell, maybe Mr. Noodle would be good for a few deep throws this year.

After winning the league last year, I'm just going out on top. There's no way a season can get as awesome as that one for me. :p

An excellent trainee who I work with quit today after four months. The annoying part is that she was going well and I wanted her to really kick on and succeed. The doubly annoying part is that I have to admit to myself that a large reason for her leaving was not being able to put up with me....I wanted her to stay yet I'm the main reason she is leaving.

Bummer, rLf. What is it about you she couldn't put up with?

Sent via mobile.

But so is she. If she can put up with customers she can put up with a CFCer, right?

I wonder. Was the reason she's leaving too much, or too little, interest of a recreational (shall we say?) nature taken by rLf?

I'm somewhat pissed because HoI3 crashed just before I could brilliantly win the Spanish Civil War as the Republic. [pissed]

I guess my method of training people is quite passionate if I get the sense that the trainee is equally motivated. Now this lady was 40 and probably has earnt the right through sheer age to be dealt with in a more even tempered manner I suppose. Don't get me wrong I don't rant like a madman but a twenty year old kid is probably more likely to just accept my manner and move on than a middle aged lady would. I just misread the play.

I've taken kids literally from the s...house to the penthouse on occasions but every time it's worked it's because they've been willing to do something I insist upon which is in the early stages just be willing to unquestioningly do and say as instructed without getting the "why" explained.....not to treat you like a moron but just so that when it comes time to discuss the reasoning behind the method, the trainee can talk about it with me from a position of some experience. At 40, you probably have enough life experience and have earnt your stripes a such and may find this expectation unreasonable.

These are just two examples where it's not a case of my methods being fundamentally flawed but where I failed to recognize that some adjustments needed to be made to better suit the nature of the trainee.

I wonder. Was the reason she's leaving too much, or too little, interest of a recreational (shall we say?) nature taken by rLf?

Only a repressed Brit would ask that. Yes jolly Borachio she has a vagina and no, in no way did any desire for recreational use or lack thereof of said vagina impact upon matters.

Nonono. There's other recreational things to do with women than that.

Maybe only a one-dimensional antipodean would imagine that there aren't?
