It's in both thread actually to express my mixed feelings about it.
Takhy didn't make his two posts represent your mixed feelings. I fixed that for him.

You're welcome, Takhy.

No more info releases to the public, huh?

The conspiracy theorist in me is seething with rage.
It sucks, really, but sadly, I actually saw this coming at least one or two years in advance, shortly after I had a dream where I and billions of others were being herded by the governments of the world like cattle to the slaughter to the, well, literal slaughter. For me, it was death by lava-pit, secretly embedded and disguised to look like an entrance to a storm shelter in a downtown area of a big city.

Argh! There is no agreement between Spain and Australia for working holiday visas. So the options now are to save every penny fr the next couple of years and go down there for a relatively short time or to go there with an ordinary tourist visa and work illegally. The best time to go would be the final of August, since I want to stay there for at least half a year, ideally 8 or 9 months.

Option B. What's the worst that can happen? You get kicked out and basically achieve option A.

Cami, Azza, Arwon, CH, Tailless etc.....I'm confident they're right behind you too (unless we have to do anything, then it's every man for himself)

Yeah, B is the option I wanted to take. But I am still angry at Spain. Having an agreement with NZ but not with Oz.... grrrr...

Are you sure there's no arrangement? I'd double check with the embassy (or consulate, in your case I guess), because presumably there's some way for Spanish people to come to Australia to work (though I guess there might just be a skilled migrant visa?). There's always European 20 somethings coming to Australia to travel and work. I thought that was how the city's services industry worked.

Besides being illegal (WHICH IS NEVER SOMETHING ANYONE @CFC WOULD RECOMMEND, AMIRITE?), working illegally will mean working for a pittance. Though theoretically, I do think it's something a fair few people do.

You should also consider some sort of student visa, because they allow you to work, though you do actually have to study (for the half of the year that uni is on).

Well I know for sure there are at least two people who have been down under on those conditions and seem to have been doing great. And its not like I want to, but I am not a skilled worker, I do not want to go to friggin study. All I want is to break away, and if I study it would remind me of... hell I dont even have money for the plane ticket there, which my parents would help me with, let alone matriculate anywhere. And, well, I trust the Australian government's immigration site. But I will refrain from further commenting such things here.

Sometimes i feel that my life is just an elaborate tower defense game. as in, defeat as many waves of enemies, who or whatever they are, until you die.

Fireball, picture below, is some pretty rank tihs. That being said, I still had upwards of five shots of it last night.

Illegals have a miserable life most of the time with no chance of finding a rewarding job. Be patient and acquire a skill that Australia needs (it's usually nothing too fancy IIRC) or find a way to pay for university studies there. It will be worth it.

I don't intend to migrate to Australia. :twitch:

Not yet at least, and definitely not until I get at least a degree.

I don't understand why are even talking about it then :crazyeye:
If you need money there are far closer places to get a job, and you wouldn't be an illegal.

I want to visit the country. And I lack the money to do much more than buying the ticket.

Unlike you, you Conservative antirevolutionary repressive scumling, enemy of the proletariat, I do not feel that debts are a good thing.

But, Oz is poisonous. NZ isn't, and has better rugby.

There's a lot of them degrees Down Under.

My original idea was to have this be a break, and then return to normalcy. Although, well, that's one big opportunity for change, isn't it?
