We got our Thermodynamics tests back today. After class, I heard a friend of mine who's in my study group have the following conversation with the professor:

Friend: On this problem, you gave me no partial credit.
Prof: You used the wrong equation.
Friend: Yeah, but I did all this work and you are saying it isn't worth a single point out of 25?
Prof: You used the wrong equation so I think you don't know how to do the problem.
Friend: So no partial credit? It's a quarter of the test grade...
Prof: No partial credit.
I know that feel bro. (And the prof said she was generous with the partial credit on this test)

I have a sore on my foot. It hurts to walk at all. :cringe:

Every game I've installed but one freezes completely when I try to play it. I know my laptop probably wasn't made for gaming, but it handled Empire at War perfectly, and the games I'm installing are not exactly new.

UPDATE: BtS sorta works. But I'm trapped in the dorm basement, waiting out a tornado. Bloody Midwest.

Try HD Tune, sometime ago I had the same problem with every game freezing (even Minecraft!) after a while. Turned out to be a problem with the SATA cable. HD Tune tells you what's wrong, and indeed it told me there was something wrong about the cable, and in any case it could be another problem with the hard disk

Yesterday and the day before I (and the whole house, and the next house) only had heating and hot water for short periods of time. Today this short period either didn't happen, or I was at work during it. I haven't shovered for two days. My choice is either sart stinking or risk a serious cold.

You have shattered my notions of German hygiene.

There's always washing at a sink with a kettle of hot water, and a flannel. Or even alcohol rub will keep the smelly bugs at bay.

I'd go with being smelly, though. Unless you've some physically strenuous job.

Well I went and made myself depress again by digging up those old emails. That was pretty intelligent of me.

Alcohol is meant for drinking or burning, not for rubbing. :nono:

There's only beer and peach liquor in the fridge. where did that bottle of Mojito Bacardi go?

You can have the bottle back if you want.

Damn you.

This. Cold + rain is no fun, especially after three days non-stop.
Count yourself lucky, up in the Cities we got an inch of snow on the ground.

You have my sympathies Ajidica, we're only supposed to get flurries.

Snow ain't right this time of year.

we've just gone through four consecutive ninety-degree days
