Random Rants XLVII: I don't like food anymore!

I just tried my first Red Bull energy drink. It was a vile concoction of crap. I cannot believe people continue to buy it after trying it once. Try coffee, tea, Coke, Sprite, whatever, but for the love of God please let this product disappear from the market. Really, really ticked at the money I wasted on it.

Jolt tasted better, and that's saying something.
I love Red Bull. Shut up, old-timer.

That man has equated tea with coffee, Coke and Sprite, all inferior drinks. And mentioned tea as an escape, instead of being one of the joys of life which it is to any normal person. It almost makes me not like food anymore.

Literally every drink mentioned is pretty notably superior to tea. Even Southern sweet tea, which is the only proper way to drink it if you must.

Hot tea is best tea*

*Disregarding summer

Whoa there!

As a person who enjoys hot tea, iced tea can be just as good!

Well, Southern sweet tea isn't real tea, and anyway, I am beginning to understand why, even after the victories in the War of 1812, Britain still didn't want to take you nutjobs back.

It was a tie, officially. Then we stuck Andrew Jackson on your asses after the fact, to make it clear who would have won if things had kept going.

Only in the summer.

The heat really brings out the flavor.

Won't deny that.

But when I want a cold drink, iced tea is totally an option, and a good one at that.

It'll be cool living in Tennessee when I can get it made properly if I'm in the mood.

It's not hard. Just put a gallon sized glass jar filled with water and appropriate tea bags outside when it's sunny and warm (US warm, not UK warm...) and let it brew all day in the sun.

Unfortunately for you, you can't have mine. Instead, you can just GET OFF MY LAWN!

That sounds positively revolting. The idea is to have delicate tea, not one so strong you can stand the spoon up in it!

Yeah. Sounds like stewed tea to me. Not nice. I wouldn't leave it to macerate for more than 1/2 hour.

Still, I went right off tea about a year ago.
