It started on 9th July and lasts for one lunar month.

The start date of course differs from year to year, since it it determined by a lunar calender that has no mechanism for stay synchronized with the solar year.

Of course, yes. Not that you would know this, but I did stay at university with three Indians, a Kashmiri and a Pakistani.

The joke was that, even spitting distance from a quaint Welsh village, I was the only white person, let alone European, in that particular five-room hall. :)

I count 6 people.

I count 6 people.

So you do. The Pakistani lived upstairs in a different five-man hall. :)

If the Welsh are involved that makes the joke even better!

Three Indians, a Pakistani, a Kashmiri, and a bunch of Welshmen walk into a bar...

Don't forget the milk-white Englishman who doesn't even drink. Quite why he's going into the bar in the first place is another joke. :p

Stupid series, Mad Men interefering with my Sopranos. Cinemax should get their priorities in order, and relegate MM to the cesspit in which it belongs.

Wow, I thought I was the only person in the world who didn't like mad men.

Sent via mobile; apologies for my ten years of second hand smoke... only time being a quitter was a good thing...

On one hand, I'm really happy that I dropped out of an unpaid internship a couple months ago, but on the other hand, I'm really bummed out about how that meant I would lose important portfolio and exposure for my writing. I don't regret the decision, but when I'm so desperately trying to build up my portfolio it sometimes makes me a little sad to know that if I had not been so adamant on being paid or at least acquire some type of compensation besides an author by-line, I could have had over 20 published articles in a magazine by now instead of a measly 4.

Ah well.

Keep lookin' and keep writin'. I know an artist who took the time to hone his craft and while he was hungry for ten year, ten year later he is never without a paid commission.

Good Lord, I felt the same way. I watched the whole first season episode by episode waiting desperately for something to happen.
