@joakim: I might put it back, it looks like Firestorm's quote is getting me killed in a mafia game.

:agree: :agree:

worst Bond movie evar...
Sorry, that award goes to Die Another Day.

I didn't find Quantum of Solace to be horrible, but it was rather eclipsed by the incredible awesomeness of Casino Royale.
Clearly you people never saw Dalton or Lazenby try to pass off what they did to the character of James Bond as "acting".
Just insinuate they bat for the other side and let the recriminations commence!
Because it worked so well with the Michelle Branch fans amirite

Agreed.

I have to go to a party again. Seriously, I am anticipating the worst night of they year so far, I am NOT looking forward to it.

Yes, Dalton and Lazenby sucked, but so does Craig. Connery>>Moore>>>>>>>>the rest.
Moore mailed in every performance as Bond he did, especially the last ones, and his Bond girls stank with the sole exceptions of Jane Seymour and Barbara Bach. GoldenEye alone - even allowing for the semicatastrophe that was Die Another Day - rates Brosnan above him. Jury's still out on Craig IMHO - Casino Royale was so damn good that I'm inclined to ignore how below-par Quantum of Solace was. Craig himself didn't really like it, referred to the movie as necessary to tie up the Vesper loose end and basically called it [poop] in an interview about the next-up Bond film.

Connery does, of course, rock. :D

Roger Moore had one facial expression - bug-eyed surprise. Worked for that one scene in Moonraker with the centrifugal accelerator or whatever, never else. However, I like Bond even at its cheesiest.

It was really only Brosnan's films cheesiness that was ever too much of a bad quality. In the old ones it made it cool.

You have a different take on cheesiness than I do, mang. ;) I dunno, I'm one of those dudes who really liked From Russia With Love and that type of Connery film, not the overly gadgety stuff of the Moore times.

Don't get me wrong, like any person with good taste I like the Connery films more than any other, Moore is just my second favorite(really the only other ones I like with the exception of Goldeneye)

... you think that's a bad thing :p?

Eh? I was just being weird.

Also, for an actual rant, I am turning into a revisionist. Need to start being less predictably anti-Establishment solely because it is the historical Establishment. :( Are there any orthodox positions that have come under fire in recent years that I could adopt?

Good news: Rescued Shana
Bad news: PS2 froze before I could save

The Good:
- got a really awesome girl
- got two legal jobs for the summer, one with possibility of carry over for the Fall
- got decent grades
- am going into a legal field that has a stable job market right now
- apparently the school I go to has reputation in NJ. I am shocked.

the Bad:
- I take the train to Camden every weekday
- low pay and jobs aren't relevant to what I want to go into. I have to wait until the Fall
- taking a third job to save money and avoid debt
- not enough networking opportunities

Still? I guess I'm happy. It could be worse.

I'm currently in that odd situation where I know I should be hungover but I'm not.

Either I'm not going to feel bad at all today, or in about an hour its going to hit and its going to be pain for the next few hours.

I am hungover for the first time in a month or so and I am missing the red arrows who are performing over Galway bay.

I cannot perform even the simplest of tasks without it turning into a complete debacle, and this is mostly because of circumstances that aren't even under my control.

I go to buy rope, so I can pick up a box spring and bring it home on my car, but instead what happens is that I drive all over town (the roads in these parts are cleverly designed so that if you miss your turn - because you are angry and distracted, say - you have to drive 3 miles out of your way to get back) and end up having to return home without it, ticking off everyone I encounter in the process.
