Random Rants XVII: Rage Against the Machine

I was working on a paper until now, it's three in the morning and I'd have to get up in four hours which means the caffeine in my system has doomed me to an unproductive and boring all-nighter. There are no movies I can/want to see righ now, I have no games that I'd currently like to play and that don't crash every few minutes with Vista and I am too unconcentrated to read. I'm bored out of my mind and I'd feel like . .. .. .. . until I can finally go to sleep about twelve hours from now provided it doesn't get too hot to sleep.

What were you doing in Suffolk? Aren't you from someplace else? Wait do you mean suffolk new york or someplace else?
No I meant Suffolk New York. Thinking about it again it was actually Nassau County. My grandma used to live in Massapequa.
I meant because Huayna is an upperclassmen, just not a senior.
In that case, make friends with whoever is allowed to leave. If nobody's allowed to leave, then I guess you're just stuck unless you have really cool teachers. Never count on that.

Was it massapequa where you witnessed this? Although that wouldn't make sense, AFAICR everyone in massapequa high is allowed to leave for lunch. Unless the upperclassmen in massapequa are just rather childish looking since I always see younger looking kids leaving there at lunch time.

I don't know what school they came from. It was 5 or 6 years ago so maybe policies were different back then.

I almost collapsed in Physics class today. We were watching a video clip of an anterior cruciate ligament arthroscopy, and then the teacher turned the lights off, at which point I suddenly felt really dizzy, began to burn up and sweat, and felt generally very light-headed. I recovered to a more normal state after about ten minutes without passing out (and no one had noticed- the video must have been exciting), but I missed the rest of the lesson through being generally dazed. That was 3 hours ago.

Summer is nearly over and I didn't do a single productive thing. And McDonald's is right across the street from my school, yet we can't go there at lunch time.

Which brings me to my next rant...

The lunch prices at the school. They're insanely overpriced. I will not pay 3 bucks for one slice of pizza that won't even get me through the day. I have to rush to eat breakfast because I have to get on the bus at 6:30 and barely have enough time between a shower and getting ready. I don't want to spend 3 bucks every day on crap I can get cheaper elsewhere. It's gotten so bad, even the principal has spoken out against it.

Which is why I bring my own lunch.

It's 4 Bucks here (or at least is was last year...), so quit complaining.

My school put up all food prices and banned non-diet soft drinks and lollies a while back to stop everyone eating junk. So at least you still have the option.

Year 11 and year 12 get to use microwaves so I brought cooked from home and heat them at school :D

Rant: There's six microwaves between 300 students. Though not everyone uses the microwaves the line is still pretty long. If you're unlucky you might get to eat your lunch 30 minutes into lunchtime (which is 40 minutes long)

Do you normally get queasy at the sight of such things?

No, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the video, or at least the video alone. I was fine for the first half of the video, but then when the lights were turned out after a minute or two, I suddenly felt really sick. Sure, it's not particularly nice watching someone send a power drill through someone else's knee and out their thigh, but I think it was a combination of a sudden change in light, dehydration, lack of sleep, heat (it was kinda hot today) and the video perhaps.

Same random dude threatened me via a personal message on Facebook.
I have no clue who he is, or who the heck he's talking about.
So this should be interesting.

Why do people complain about kill stealing? I'M ON YOUR DAMN TEAM, WE'RE MEANT TO BE WORKING TOGETHER TO KILL THE OTHER TEAM, NOT MEASURE THE LENGTHS OF OUR E-PEENS BASED SOLELY OFF THE STATS.

The school dinners at my work are £1.70 - over $3, and I go to work at six.
