Random Rants XVIII: It's cold as hell!

No, they're not. Planck units are most certainly not arbitrary.

Also 32 and 212 are far more arbitrary than 0 and 100.

And failing that, outside of the specific unit of scale, Kelvin certainly isn't arbitrary.

To be fair to the side that we do use and often abuse arbitrary units though, people have created some utterly stupid misconceptions. One of the worst imo- the "fake nerd" T-shirt:

"Resistance is futile if < 1 ohm"

"Fight smarter, not harder." :mischief:

I know, which is why I'm preparing a massive flanking maneuver via naval landing in the Nile Delta. But the ultimate problem is the Kwarazameian bottomless army pit. I'm just trying to hold them off and hold onto my provinces and even that is proving exhausting. I got lucky and repulsed a deep incursion into Armenia and Syria, but I've made nothing from it since their armies are so well equipped that every victory for me is Pyrrhic. Its put Ghulams on my short list.

Seriously dude, what the hell is with you and retardedly low pop growth? I guess part of it is probably you expanding way the hell faster than I usually try, but still...

Its 1189 and this is my empire:

Draw your own conclusions. Constantinople is a fine size at 29000 people, but all my castles are pathetically small; as far as I can tell there are not even any Fortresses yet anywhere on the campaign map! My armies consist of Byzantine Spearmen, some Dismounted Lancers, Peasant Archers, and Skythikon, plus whatever mercs I can scrape up. I just got Byzantine Infantry in Constantinople a few turns ago, but I haven't been able to use them in combat yet.

Activision/IW just stabbed me and millions of other PC players in the back.

Explain.

I hate when machines break at work. Especially when I'm about to start my weekly QA tests after-hours when there are no electronics techs around. It's even better when I can't just switch to my other machine because it's scheduled for maintenance the next day (and the same tests have to be done post-maintenance).

I get to go home a bit early today, but I have to stay even later tomorrow.

I just fended off a huge siege of Tabriz from the Kwarazemians, one I should have thoroughly lost, when my game crashed. There's no way I could hope to recreate that, it was pure effing luck. [pissed]
It's a siege in M2TW, so all you have to do is autoresolve. :p

Nope, the Kwarazemian army was rated much higher than mine. Its essentially a full army of Spear Militia and Peasant Archers, plus a general and two catapults.
Oh, the catapults. Okay. Sorry mang.

Wait, it started working 5 minutes after I gave up and went to bed?
