If you are a senior, you lost focus last friday when we started spring break.

I didn't think that seniors had focus to begin with.

I lose focus in November.

We do. Grades still matter first and second tri. Plus we have to lay the smackdown on uppity juniors.

I do have an actual rant. I just got back from my absolutely last college visit and I can't narrow down my list any more. I got it down to three schools.
(For those who care:
St Thomas in the Twin Cities.
Grand Forks in North Dakota.
Drake in Des Moines.)

Roll 1d3 to determine the outcome of this choice?

I'm seriously thinking about doing that.

Have you considered the monetary side to this issue?

How about which ones are accept you? I think thats important too I dont think you can just walk in and sit at a desk "hey Im here"

Clearly St Thomas is meant for you, since you listed it first.

A quick look at College Board seems to indicate that Drake has the best academics of the three.

The money side is effectively nill. I recieved sufficiently large scholarships from the two private schools to make the price reasonable, and with the state school (Grand Forks) I will probably end up having to take an extra semesters.

I've been accepted to all of them.

Yeah, but it is the smallest so there are less options if I decide I hate my major/minor track. (Accounting/History, pre-law emphasis.)

How much time do you have to decide?

About two more weeks. I've visited all of the colleges twice on full tours.
I'm leaning a bit away from Grand Forks, but that is only tentative.

My condolences, Cheezy. How old was he?

Twelve. Which is incredibly old, given his great size. He was a black lab, but in his prime he was around 120 lbs.

Sorry to hear that. It's a bad thing for anyone.

The hardest thing was seeing the drug slowly take him over, even before the needle was out of him. Still, I know it's better this way, so that he was not made to suffer to satisfy our greed of not wanting to deal with him dying. This way we can always remember him as a healthy, happy dog, and he never had to go through the traumatizing pain that would have surely characterized the final days and weeks of his life, if he even had that long left to live. As my dad said, "it was the right wrong thing to do."

humans are not afforded the same luxury as our pets do. its sad that we have less rights than pets in this case.

Bill Bryson said he was born in Des Moines, but then someone had to be. :)

Six weeks is more than long enough. That way you can have three weeks at Christmas and two weeks at Easter and still actually remember things during the year.

I get two weeks at both Christmas and Easter, except this year where I got three weeks at Christmas and am getting one week for Easter. :(

The American system of school breaks is much better, especially as they use the exact same system in Brazil!

Also, my mother keeps complaining if I play my music a fraction too loud. DragonForce is a lot better when it's at full volume.
