I hope Ed Miliband urges street riots to protest against Cameron's celebrations. And finally get onto making a revolution while the rioters are at it.
Best time for a revolution was 1914 :(

Nah, you lost the chance of having civil wars in Great Britain after the First World War.
Oh really? What about all those people on the western island in the British Archipelago?

Hence why I said "Great Britain". Before the UK's entry into the First World War, the Home Rule issue was primed to cause a civil war both in Ireland and in Great Britain, in addition to massive labor unrest (to culminate in the planned strike of the Triple Alliance unions in London in September 1914). After the war and the various concessions on Home Rule, and after Bonar Law and the Tories joined the wartime Cabinet, the threat of civil war at home had long since faded away.

The Troubles might have spread to Scotland if things had gone differently… anyways, this ain't the thread. We cant' help going off-topic in the Off-Topic forum, eh?

It doesn't matter since this thread is postcountless anyway.

Child Abduction Warning on TV. The tones on those things scare the crap out of me.

Today was the exact wrong day for the Sydney train system to implode. The train I got this morning was an hour late (I aimed for 8:48, and the 7:57 turned up at 8:55), and it crawled, crammed, into the city, where I had to get a bus that takes longer than my normal bus (given the slightly different route of this train that I had to get), meaning I turned up at uni ever so slightly late. I had been planning to be there extra early, because I had an exam straight away. The saving grace was that the test was moved to the second hour of the lecture (due to train issues), and it wasn't too hard.

My family thinks the end of the world is nigh.

I have trouble trying to convince them that tectonic plates move slowly over hundreds of millions of years, and that sea level will most likely rise two or three metres this century as opposed to two or three hundred metres.

I heard someone tried to set up a Republican street party, but their council wouldn't let them do it.
