RANDOM RANTS XXXI: I hate my job

I was planning to boycott this thread, at least until I got to the 1000th post so I could create Random Rants XXXII: Even worse than Random Rants XXXI, but...
AP World tests tomorrow. I am royally humped.
:hmm: Compared to other AP exams, or even by itself, that was as easy as expected.

Eh, its a certain subset of users here I think. Really Id be better off ignoring 'em but still, blech.

Rant: Today in a store I was looking for something. I tried to ask an employee but I began stuttering and what parts I didn't stutter were an incoherent jumble of syllables. That was embarrassing.

The enlightenment didn't really come up outside of a few multiple choice questions. The rise of the Mongols was an option for the second free response. Truth be told, I don't think I did that terribly, at least not on the multiple choice. The essays seem to be up in the air.
It sort of became our running joke in AP Euro where the answer was either the Reformation, Enlightenment, SciRev, or French Revolution. You wouldn't believe how often that guessing method worked.

I cant get the first verse of that down. I mean the song I'm listening to. There's no official lyrics as it was only officially released on an obscure promotional LP from 1977. The LP is one-sided which is interesting. Theres some counterfeit ones circulating, but they have a white label as opposed to the original red/orange label. It was recorded in Boston on December 12, 1976, and there are four songs on it. But there's 5 on the U.K. version, I don't know why. But on both versions the song I can't get the first verse of the lyrics on is the last one. A British magazine from 1977 reports that in the U.S. some people paid $70 for it. That's $70 in 1977 dollars.

Yeah. It really wasn't too bad, but it was my first AP test, and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. My first free response was a combination of BS and what I remember from playing Oregon Trail as a kid, so I'm not sure how well that will go.

Ah. My school doesn't offer AP Euro, so I'll probably never get to use that. If they ever come up with a curriculum my teacher accepts, I'll pass it onto those students.

If I had a dollar for every time I say that I am ugly, unattractive, or unwanted; I'd be richer than Donald Trump :p.

The difference being that Donald Trump actually is ugly, unattractive, and unwanted.

If There are 6 billion people out there, one should not put all there hangups on a handful of people who don't like you.

Actually, it's closer to 7 billion now.

Not to mention a comb-over with a mind of it's own ;).

Rant: My mom mistaked me singing along to a song with the cat being hurt

Well, for one. I would suggest not airing that you are not wanted. In the short run you may get sympathy, but after a while it drains on other people where they actually agree with your statement.

I know I am going to sound hypocritical because I kept saying the same thing, but I am on the road to recovery. All I have to say is please stop saying how you are not wanted. If I had a dollar for every time I say that I am ugly, unattractive, or unwanted; I'd be richer than Donald Trump :p.

You know, CivG, I'm impressed. Good on you, I hope that things work out for the better.

Also worth thinking about: it's not just how you're perceived by others but how you see yourself. If you don't believe you are likeable, you won't be likeable. If you do believe you can be, then you will be. It sounds cliche, but in my experience there's some truth to it.

Yeah, great CivG! Self-pity sucks man. It doesn't help you and it just annoys me ;) I could go on about this, but I'd like to post a video by one of my if not the biggest inspirations, Sean Stephenson:

You used to say some about being too ugly to have a girlfriend, right? Well, this guy is known for being popular with girls. Really shows you how much behaviour and not how you look like is what actually matters with the fairer sex.

Jesus Christ its cold out.
