Rave: I got a chocolate marshmallow Santa.

I attended a City Council planning meeting regarding a bus rapid transit line they are hoping to have done by 2021. I figured I had nothing else going on and I take that route to work every day so I should see what was going on.
After attending, I'll be honest, I had no idea how much work went on with even the smallest aspects of city planning and development.

Also, the meeting got out at 8 so I didn't feel like making dinner for myself so I stopped by Popeyes for some friend chicken.
(Popeyes blows KFC out of the water and is a very strong competitor to Chick Fil A.)

I've spent a good deal of time today working on my gingerbread cookies, I made them for my neighbor's daughter's class (I usually babysit her when she gets home from school until her mom comes home, she and I are very close). I was playing Celtic Woman Christmas music very loudly, lol. I'm afraid I don't have very much artistic talent, I wish I could've done a better job with my icing, but it's not easy!

CHOMP! chew chew chew chew chew...

Thank you, they were delicious. :yumyum: However, since I don't have any milk in the fridge, I had to wash them down with root beer.

I earned my brown belt today in Taekwondo. Took a lot of hard work.

Won't eating popay's end up making you look like popey?

It might also make you poopy. (What even is popay's? Google just gives me an African payroll service. I hope you're not eating that.)

Also, do they sell any spinach?
Why not just name the place as ''poldo's"? (or how that guy was called)

Ewwwww.

;)

Now I'm just confused. I think I missed an entire conversation.

I've just read this. ‘…despair is everywhere. Yet still I can marvel at our humanity’, by Jonathan Freedland.

A rather silly rave: I use Calibre ebook management to also catalog my physical books. While adding in the ISBNs, I transposed a few numbers. So when the metadata got downloaded, what I thought was supposed to be a middle-grade horse novel turned out to have downloaded the information for some other novel involving Satanic cults. That's a bit more metal than I remembered the plot to be.

I rep three crackships. One of them got made canon in its TV show several years ago. Another got made canon in its video game last Tuesday.

Still waiting on Sam and Lara, kind of, but two out of three ain't half bad.

Sam and Lara from the new Tomb Raider games? How is that a crackship?

I found another use for Vivaldi's web panels. Instead of often opening a new tab to look something up in Wikipedia, I just added a new panel with Wikipedia in it. :) I also just added one to a dictionary. Web panels are useful.

In fandoms and such, people like 'shipping' characters in romantic relationships. Crackships are pretty much just ships that are rather silly for the context of the work and more done for the giggles than taken seriously.

An awful lot of lesbian ships self-branded as crackships because, before Korrasami, people assumed that no-brainer f/f pairings would never happen in canon except for Bury Your Gays bits like Tara/Willow and Clarke/Lexa.

Tomb Raider was originally supposed to be another one of the latter, with Sam getting possessed by Himiko's ghost at the end. But Squeenix execs had the devs change it because it would have been too much of a downer ending. Presumably, those execs failed to realize that the whole game before that had been full of gaybait and that giving it a happy ending would break The Rules. Naturally, the writers quickly accomplished the same task off-screen between the events of the first two games and stuck Sam in a mental institution to rot.
