Your lack of cultural refinement is your problem!
Yeah, the poor man happens to be 'Murican.
Ahhhh.... 'Twas perfect for stargazing!

I got to use my new telescope for the first time!
Ohhh. Did you spot any blue alien babes?

Also, 2nd Rave: Saw my favorite star for the first time this season. Haven't seen it since April or May. :)
Miley Cyrus? :p

Not sure if rant or rave...

Just found out that I'm not just supposed to design this thruster, we are going to build it as well.

Then they told me that after we do that, we're supposed to design and build a cubesat (small satellite) to fly it on.

It's the right thread, I daresay. Althought, in the interests of postcount, I think more poasting is recommended.

Rave of my own: Heavy metal, if played loud enough, is proving to be a very effective parent-repellant. Possibly the shockwave is keeping them at bay, but who knows?

Unless I missed some, I think I broke every single crate in Half-Life, even while it was raining down explosives on my head (that one part in "We've Got Hostiles").

Its very amusing, discovering that the extremely well illuminated house on top of the neighbouring hill is a house of a Canadian reality show. Definitely better than expected, since speculation among my family said it was a whorehouse.

Nope.

Miley Cyrus? :p
Eww. No. I was referring to the gigantic balls of piping hot plasma burning trillions of miles away that we can only see at night due to their distance, not humanoid celebrities.

The reason we can't see them during the day has much more to do with the star that's not trillions of miles away than the distance to all the other ones.

If Canadian reality shows are anything like American ones, your relatives weren't that far off.

In both of those there's a lot of copulation happening. A lot of people get paid to screw!

Yeah, when they learned what was the real deal my granparents said "well, we weren't that off the mark".

MY first thought was, 'those aren't mutually exclusive". :)

Narrowly avoided an ear infection. :D

I have been so stuffy and congested lately that I didn't realize my left ear was clogged and becoming infected. When the congestion cleared and I finally realized my left ear was constantly ringing and in pain it was almost too late. Thank god for debrox!

finally satisfied my many month long jonesing for a cuban sandwich.

but i had to do it at the uni dining hall. so i had go to the build-your-own sandwich station at the dining hall and ask for ham, salami, and swiss on a baguette. but after i toasted the sandwich i just asked for pickles. he looked at me kinda weird, expecting me to say lettuce, tomatoes, and/or onions. but no, i just wanted pickles. so that was my awkward moment of the day.

it was also really delicious for something that was pretty rudimentary.

I think if you go down to the bottom of a very deep well or something it can be possible to see the other ones in the daytime. Not sure if its true or not.

Just came from playing an extremely satisfying and actually quite challenging HoI3 game as Republican Spain. Yes, I played and won the Civil War for the eleventh time. But you never know which garrisons, etc. will fall into National hands, so its always exciting.

This time, it was actually a challenge since I had less men for most of the war, but when my armoured divisions finally were produced, I broke through their weak spots and smashed their lines. I was winning by then, but the enemy had managed to break the initial stalemate in Andalusia and controlled almost all of it, all of Extremadura and a lot of Castilla-La Mancha, along with most land west of Burgos (which I captured relatively early on).

Started in March 1936, didn't saw it end, but by late January 1937 the nationalists were hopeless and I was achieving victory after victory in crushing their advance towards Valencia as well as their lines of defence along the Guadiana.

I didn't play England much in EU III. You can only unite the Isles so many times before it gets tedious.
