Random Thoughts IV: the Abyss Gazes Back

Is it weird that when I get angry for political reasons, I sometimes rewatch the Knights of the Old Republic Dark Side ending in order to blow off steam?

Give it a try and tell me it doesn't make you feel better. (Of course it won't be as good if you haven't played through the game yourself, for spoiler-y reasons.)

On some level the dark side appeals to all of us. That's our weakness.

Can be therapeutic in small doses, though. :yup:

An axe would be a long way down on my top list of weaponry for a mad killing spree.

I'd go pitching wedge. 60% of course. Steel shaft.

I'd prefer a chainsaw. If you're going nasty then go nasty.

I guess, I'd better burn that certificate.

So an arsonist then? Fair enough fair enough.

Ever had one of those days when you look out the window and think: I can jump that.
When the glass looks back at you and calls: break me, eat the peaces.
When the blackness of night reminds invitingly of the blackness of death.
When all you want for the world is that it end?

I hate going to work on cold days.

NO

NO

Gotta pay the bills, but at least retirement is coming so the cold doesn't bite quite as much.

Really? Like you've newer stood at a buss station waiting and just thought about how easy it would be to take that one step forward and find some rest?

I wouldn't trust a buss to instantly kill me.

Chocolate chip, hopefully (I bought some last night to celebrate a minor breakthrough in my NaNoWriMo story).

Cool, what's the story about? Are you writing in an online group?

I suspect that almost everyone has had such a thought flit through their mind, the question then becomes how often such a flitting thought is allowed to pass through unremarked, or is dwelled upon. If you think that maybe you might be dwelling more than is healthy, or even if you consider it a very far outside possibility, err on the side of caution and get a professional opinion.

Occasionally dwelling on death is supposedly good for you (in very small doses), as it helps to prepare the human psyche for our inevitable demise.
