Random Thoughts IV: the Abyss Gazes Back

I've only put one person on ignore because they insulted me in a thread. After I responded in thread they kept harassing me and posting on my profile page. I figured putting them on ignore was the best option.

The venue has no tickets left to sell (maybe, that could be a lie). Tickets are available at markup price from brokers, one of which paid for the ad.

That makes sense. I couldn't figure out why the music place would be advertising for something already sold out.

I've never put anyone on ignore. Keep your friends close; keep your enemies closer.

Can anyone be bothered with analysis of some blathering blog post linked by a poster with a record of zero credibility?
Well Slatestarcodex is one of the best blogs on the internet so lucky you someone is trying to get that level of quality in front of you.

And seriously @Timsup2nothin you don't speak for me or frankly anyone but yourself when you take the position to declare who is and who isn't a credible member of the community. @Mouthwash is a credible member of the community.

His big finish was "go live in a cave". I tried, but he pretty much failed as a writer.
Maybe you'll understand this one better

Much as I tend to disagree with Mouthwash...his link is disturbingly accurate.

You guys are kinda late. I already acknowledged it was a pretty good little story. Mouthwash could have been a little more clear about what he was linking up, but it was worth the read.

...I just realized how long ago you posted that

I’m always thirteen pages behind on these threads :p

It's not. It's supposed to be like pronouncing "USA" as a single word.
I would have thought the Usean continent already took that. Anyway, more thoughts on video game stuff.

Weird that AC7 is touting flares as a new feature. I don't know what to think when BF3 has better plane equipment loadouts than freaking Ace Combat itself.

RDR2 is quite lauded and I guess the future of AAA gaming as mainly a cinematic experience is now solidified. Wonder if I will ever find future reasons to build that gaming PC.

Why do any of you feel like putting other people on an ignore list? What do you hope to gain from that? I don't feel like there has ever been a user deserving to be on my ignore list, not even CivMan and his various alter-egos

I've only had two people on my ignore list.
One was making me so angry that I would have eaten a ban sooner or later because of flaming.
The poster isn't active anymore. Not sure if he was banned, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The other posted one incomprehensible wall of text too many in threads I was following. He's off the list now.

There are a few I ignore informally. I skim a reply, see it's the same old stuff and just scroll down.

The original fallout games did it best. You could kill children but if you did you received the "Child Killer" perk. Which made everyone in the game hate you and usually try to kill you on sight.

To be fair, the children did steal from the PC.
That was the idea, yes. An adult bachelor of this decade might well have played a lot of Skyrim in his time.
Any adult bachelors of this decade, you say?
People get on my ignore list by increasing my blood pressure too much. Of course, I usually just read their posts anyway because I'm a weirdo but w.e
This might be because I've spent six days outside CFC, but I get the sense that flamebait is kind viagra-y to you.
I consider putting people on ignore to be allowing them to post nonsense unchallenged.
Sage words.

*worries about how close he is to becoming a Tim*

I actually am up to nothing.

It's getting so bad that I think I really might start writing a book about Tim.
Known facts:
cold-war era submariner!
white collar criminal!
has a girlfriend who buys pizza on the way home!
likes to keep pets, of the hair-shedding quadrupedal type!
ex-con!
posts a lot
plays strategy games
has had children
will move to Belize

It's more than we get to know about the lives of ‘story-oriented’ RPGs these days, now that I think of it.
