No. The local brand of apple juice is awful at any mixture or dilution.

I don't do apple juice. I was actually thinking of watermelon or mango. It also helps to serve them chilled. Room temperature mango juice is unappealing at best.

I have just had my first spam trying to sell me monkeypox. It is not as bad as the one promising to "Advance Your Cancer" (that was a truncated subject, it cut off "Research").

Wonderful spam indeed.

You know that ambient sound in Doom when there are monsters around the corner but they haven't seen you yet? That's the sound my stomach made. It feels fine, but it just reminded me of that.

In my experience they make sounds only if they are aware of your presence.

What is the oddest job if described in plain terms?

So far I've got "nailing metal to a horse" in the lead (horseshoer), but I'm sure there is something even better out there.

I guess you'd need to be very specific for this, no? I thought blacksmiths dealt with horse shoes.
Because then you can find up something laughable everywhere. A vet regularly needs to be their arm deep in a cow's anus (not that this is the only thing, obviously).

I could mention some good ones. Removing central nervous systems whole was a pretty tricky job.

A farrier is a specialist horse-foot-carer.

A blacksmith, technically, is a smith who deals with iron. It does overlap with a farrier regarding fitting shoes to horses' hooves, but they also worked other associated trades.

Another term for a glassmith, or glass blower, is a gaffer. A gaffer is also the chief electrician on tv and movie productions. Electrical tape is sometimes called gaffer tape, which is different from duck tape. "Duck tape" is not a mis-hearing of "duct tape." It really was originally called "duck tape" because it was duck cloth (a kind of woven linen canvas - from the Dutch word "doek") with adhesive smeared on one side.

A few days ago, I met my Boss, who is also my best friend, and told him that outside of a backyard one on one fighting at school, I really never throw hands, because outside mostly it will never end up fairly. I told him once when I walk with my ex to a mall, a group of 5-6 guys cat-calling my girl, I can't do anything but pull her to walk faster, and they were laughing at me. At that time I felt like they were spitting on my face.

My Boss told me when he used to went to a club that also happened to him, 3-4 people sitting (squatting) outside of the club, and he and his ex were about to enter and she used rather revealing clothes, and those guys start to cat-called her. When he entered the club he was just unable to accept what happened and had intrusive thoughts all the time. So he went out, go to those people who were cat-calling her, kick one of them, and went back not telling her what happened, he just did it for himself. No one stand or said anything to him. And I think the jerk deserves the kick, that kick saves a lot of future incidents.

Some people seem to have almost no fear, he enters a situation where he got beat up several times by a group of people, and he just keeps taking the risk whenever he thinks it is necessary. A brute, but I really admire the courage though. Perhaps the psychological pain of being helpless and emotionally oppressed is much more painful than the beat-up itself.
