BTW, just a little tip: if you are using IE, and not all pictures load, you don't have to reload the whole page to see them. Just right-click the red-X, and select "Show Picture". It will just reload that picture, and so you don't have to wait for the pictures that already loaded to come up again.

Oh, I know about that. The problem is, that doesn't always work with my connection out to sea. Sometimes, it's more efficient (oddly enough) to reload the page.

Well, I'll try to get started on it, but you know, 10 turns at this stage in the game isn't like 10 turns in 2000BC, when I could play and be done in 2 hours. The last 10 turns took me over 5 times that length, and this promises to take even longer, so don't wait up burning the midnight oil...

Though I have a sneaking suspicion sirian did it that way not due to limited time but rather to get around the single post image limit!

On a related note, someone asked and either you didn't see it amidst the spam...or you answered and I didn't see it amongst the spam...but anyway:

After the kitchen sink, was Alexander spent? I remember earlier in the game you were trumpeting Liz for having multiple stacks and being able to keep going longer than what would've happened in Civ 3--did you see the same for Alex? If not, why not?

A couple of days, working on it on and off.


ChrTh: Alex surely spent most of his mobile reserve in that fight. I don't think it's all dead (still a few units moving around) but I don't expect another fight of that kind. He might still kill off another one of our small stacks somewhere, though. Guess we'll find out, because by the end of Sulla's round, he will be gutted. (Incans are already gutted.)

Sulla and Sirian, because of you two I had to get Civ IV for Christmas. This thread and Sullla's walkthrough was the best way to make me buy this game. So thank you for that.

Only problem is that I can't get the game. No computer with enough capabilities, and not enough money to buy one!

Saving up for one though, and I hope to get it by June.
