I would add about 400 seats to the House, though, and do non-partisan redistricting commissions in every state.

I both love this idea and sigh at it given there's no way to easily get a non-partisan group... we'd have to import them in from another country... and even then those folks would be tempted to redistrict us based on how it might benefit them.

Love the theory though.

Threw this ugly mess together, I knew I'm not very imaginative with names, but this got bad really fast. Also drawing lines on maps. Actually just map editing in general.

Only thing I really stand behind with this map is that there should be a lot fewer states.

Also I had to steal Warpus' Fjordland, which in this timeline has obviously annexed parts of Canada in addition to the parts shown on the map.

I'm not sure why this would be the case. In most places impartial public servants manage it pretty well.
