[R&F] Rise and Fall Screenshot discussion

Why an Anatolian Civ? I really don't want an Akkadian speaking Hittite leader. Unless, you're referring to the Ottomans or Byzantines.
From what I know, the Hittite language is already deciphered (by a Czech :crazyeye:)

However, I guess the Ottoman Empire would be a better choice than Byzantium. We already have one Rome and three Greeces in game :D

The governor "improvements" are very likely something between a world wonder and a regular tile improvement. Or maybe the graphic designers have been better at making improvements. I wouldn't say that because the city park has roads on it means that it's a world wonder.

The pier just "looks" too much like an entertainment complex. I don't know if it's a district in its own right, but it could be a late-game amenities-giving wonder (ie. a modern day Colosseum). If it is a district, I would expect that it may actually be the second new district that they mentioned would ship with the game, although it presumably would have just about the same bonuses as the entertainment complex, so would be a weird choice.

Well Sumerian language was deciphered and yet Gilgamesh speaks Old Akkadian in the game. If Firaxis couldn't get someone to write Sumerian dialogue, who's to say they can find someone to write the Hittite?

Yes, the roads connect to the model because governor reasons is my only caveat for WSP not being a Wonder.

I don't think the pier, if it is a district, will be redundant to the Entertainment Complex. It will likely have something to do with a new mechanic.

I stand by my idea that the entertainment district on the water is due to an ability of a governor! :p

It's on your head when thousands of Brazilians drown trying to celebrate Carnival.

I think that the improvement in the second picture might be Hammam (Ottoman/Turkish bath).
.

Let's hope Pedro will join them so the complains about me being more competent and gaining moře GP will stop :mischief:

You get a lot of Great People? Cause I don't, especially in King difficulty. I usually start building districts later than the AI, that's why. It takes longer to build a district on Epic speed.

Well... Ehm... Kongo, normal speed :D

I'm referring to Ottomans, Byzantines and the Hittites. I'm not sure which one they will take.

No, no. It‘s the other way round. European harbors need brothels and Turkish harbors need Hammams. :shifty:

Get off the ship and head straight to your religiously-mandated ritual cleansing?

That's mainly Great Writers (even though the Kongolese never had writing before European arrival ), Artists, Musicians, and Merchants right?

That's a big reason I hate Cultural Victory now. It's always Kongo, Russia and maybe Greece snatching all the GW, GA, and GMs. It forces me to conquer those countries when I'm trying to play peacefully. I know National Parks and Seaside Resorts are more important than those Great Works, but I usually improve most of my land, so....

You can always trade for the Great Works. That was fixed in the fall patch, right? Or manually select all civs.

They're willing to trade away their Great Works?
