Look who's pushing. At least I don't promise a "real chance of playing tonight" and then post a lame "great post" one-liner 2.576 days later, and when the game finally got played a further 5.913 days, conveniently forgot to remove a simple file from the Assest folder after all this time.
Anyhow, continuing the pholk-bashing from SG etiquette to the actual game itself, if you feel somewhat proud of your play in this turnset, I regretably apologize for bursting the I-am-in-heaven-dream-bubble to bring you back to reality-hell.
First:
Archer? Why do we need more archers now? Yes, we need pointy-sticks, but they ain't arrows. Spears. Think big. Try not to reflect your real-life small-size problem into this game, okay? And where does the galley think it is going? It should stay between the two landmass.
Next:
I hate idle workers. If they have nothing better to do, they should be roading the cities to the northern tip of the island, since that will cut transport time. A troop moving on road is as fast as ferry in galley, so that will reduce the distance needed to cover by the galley.
Also, we shouldn't be chopping down the trees in Aksum. It only have 2 in its BFC, so both are needed to gain one health. Gondar, on the other hand, can have the forest in its SE chopped, since there is only one forest in its BFC.
And clearly Aksum shouldn't be working on that 3F farm when there is a 3F2C lake. At this point, I was about to say something really harsh like "if you play so sloppily and still insist on playing a longer than usual number of turns, we might as well all pack up and go home", but it will really be too harsh
Anyway, I corrected all those (the archer, having invested so many turns, I let it go). All fog-busting workers are tasked to build roads while fog-busting, and I transported the GM down south and moved two workers back north to pasture the sheep. The GM going south is because I think Gondar will need the extra food more than the other two cities.
I have also switched research away to HBR for those phants. Then an event occurred which make sme hate being broke:
And as if to rub salt on the wound, we got more than enough money a turn later:
Well, as a consolation, we seems to be on track for the variant:
End-turns-note:
- I have brought two more spears to Viking ... suggest we go for the kill now.
- we should probably road the area above Gondar. For this, the worker near capitol should be ferried down:
- Gondar is still lacking the State-Religion.
- We have a total of 5 religions I think, confusion, hinduism, taoism, buddhism, christianity. Try to spread them around and build those temples and monasteries.
