ROTQM7: Really?! Okay . . . Thanks for the "Memories"

A few rants.

I cannot fathom why in whatever hell we are building a courthouse. Wasted turns, wasted hammers. Should be building dog soldiers or another wonder.

While I can understand why we want the sheeps, it is not exactly urgent. We want the the hammers first and foremost.

Also, as you can see here:

We need no freaking roads to connect horses (although I don't see we want that either. Dogs are as good as chariots). But I still continue with the road :crazyeye:

Anyway, I settled the merchant (I saw no objections to that, plus we only have 2 cities, so currency has no immediate effect -- in fact, we are only gonna have 3 cities, so currency will never have any effect since we also own the GL).

After Wheel, I researched IW (to see where iron is. If we can get swords, it will be much better. But alas, no immediate iron for us -- closes one is 2 border pop away. But IW also allows us to mine the gems, so it is good).

Hence, the worker is suppose to transfer to the Ethopia island next turn, together with a cat. To hasten transfer, here is the galleys movement plan.

I build another galley to protect the fish later (2nd city is building a WB).

Here is the current situation at Aksum ...

thanks to the stupid courthouse build, we can't possibly take it within the next turnset. I think we need at least 2 more cat and 2 more dogs.

I selected Monarchy (14 turns), although I think Metal Casting (25 turns) might help better -- with gems and forge. Plus triremes would be crucial. Colossus is also nice.

There is gonna be another GP arriving in 2 turns, around 50% chance of scientists, and equal chance on priest and merchant. Scientist or Priest should probably be kept to bulb another religion. Not sure whether settling is still better for a merchant.

i installed the new BUG as per the developers instructions.

so, now everybody works on Pholk Time??

Did you ensure the SimCutie ColVal xml was exterminated as per Dresden's instruction?

no greyfox, sir

[goes to whip self]

see, the problem has been the lack of games where we're all playing together. We're all old friends on this board ~ over two years unbelievably so we're all comfortable with each other...and where everyone enjoys picking on pholk :D

but they're all good peoples and i, for one, enjoy gaming with them again :goodjob:

okay, enough sappiness ~ is this tomorrow yet?

Well I played and managed to lose my report by accidently navigating of the page

So from memory, here's what happened.

We popped a GS, that will bulb Alphabet.

If we research Meditation, will this change to Philosophy?

We got 6 catapults to the front and decided to attack.

Zara decides to gift us two workers.

Three rounds of battle, two lost catapults and two lost dog soldiers later.

Who next?

who next attacking or who next playing??

good turns ~ phase 1 seems to be complete for us. and you finished just in time for me to be OoP. I'll be gone until wednesday for a school trip. so swap me or skip me if ruff can't play after imhotep. It looks like consolidation and a focus on wonders in the near-term, no?

Roster
Pholk
greyfox
ozbenno > just played
imhotep > UP NOW
ruff hi > on deck

edit: and doesn't the BUG advisor tell what will be bulbed??

I think we have to get alphabet out of the way to enable bulbing philosophy (and ofcourse we need mediation first).

We should probably send out our dogs to HC to hamper his growth. Once MC is in, we need a few more triremes. But Colossus is a nice enough wonder to get in this map, and since we have copper in Aksum, I think it is worth the effort.

edit: and doesn't the BUG advisor tell what will be bulbed??
Yes. He is currently saying 'alphabet' and 'alphabet' if you finish the tech you currently have highlighted (MC in this case). Highlighting 'alphabet' and it shows that the GS will lightbulb compass. Tech alphabet and medication and it unlocks philosophy.
