I hate Santorum, but for the spectator in me I love the sweep for the underdog!
I LOLED at the threat title.
This is easily the frothiest primary by far.
No, he's not. For an example of conservative ****oo, have a butchers at Tom Tancredo. Also, I really really am losing faith in the republicans here. Santorum... really? The dude is a nutcake.
Also, this is perhaps a naive request, but I'd really like it if candidates didn't just make.. stuff up.
I can support Santorum. But this is the absolute last candidate I can. I only have a small unoccuppied space on my bumper for another sticker, right below Perry and to the right of Fred Thompson.
I sure hope no one else gets in the race, I might have buy another entire car.

My two coppers: Santorum is too far to the right for my taste. Of course, I've been able to tolerate Obama with only minor difficulties, so I won't have a panic if Santorum becomes President.
I really cant believe that all three of these states decided that Santorum was a good option. I suppose he is a great option if you want Obama to win by like 10% or more in the general election.
How in the world does an election lasting longer have anything to do with having choices? The republicans have provided the same 4 bad choices whether you have those choices for a week or 5 months. These states are not to terribly important as far as delegate counts go.
Most here are always complaining how there is never any true political choice in this country, I am glad to see another primary last into the late stages.
Santorum only surged because the established Romney machine hasn't torn into him yet.

Whose super PAC will triumph in the end?Pretty much how this whole contest has gone. As soon as an alt Romney rises up he just uses his supreme court endorsed super PAC to crush the person in the next contest. Santorum/Gingrich have a chance in states so conservative that no amount of commercials will make them vote for Romney, but anywhere even slightly moderate he can bury them.

yeah, especially in nevada. Republican voter enthusiasm has actually gone down the longer the primaries have gone on. I expect that to change a little once its the actual general election, but a lot of folks aren't thrilled with their choice of 3 wackos and a robot. One other thing that disturbs me about this whole primary situation is how few people are actually voting in them. In a lot of the states voting so far the turnout has been below 2008, in many cases significantly. With so few people choosing the presidential candidates, effectively it's only a handful of people who are really choosing the president.

The bigger result for the candidates is the momentum. This will probably help Santorum raise money and win more votes in the future. Will it ne a significant help? Who knows, but some.
The wider picture, is Democratic leadership is celebrating since every day and dollar spent on this primary campaign will cost the Republicans more votes in the general election. It drives the campaign further and further to the right (Romney will risk losing if he doesn't pander), allows for more mud slinging (Newt, in particular, isn't going to quit his crusade against Mittens), and leaves more ammunition for the Democrats.
