Server migration completed

Still getting noticeable lags when there's nothing but a blank screen (blue for me, since I'm using the Dark Blue skin) for several seconds before the page I'm going to comes up.

Unless I am having a Senior moment, the Search Threads/Posts options seem to have been lost.

EDIT.

OK - after reading through these posts, I realise they have been disabled.

It's temporarily disabled. If performance remains good today I will re-enable it.

Fantastic - I thought I'd lost my mind. In my thread which is close to 8,000 posts, it's pretty vital to have that feature to find components and feedback lost to time.

The forum is faster than ever right now. Thanks Thunderfall! :goodjob::salute:

The main page still lists the host as Atomic Gamer, fyi.

It looks like some of the downloads are directly hardcoded to Atomic Gamer.
I tried a few, and noticed it kept coming up http://www.atomicgamer.com as the start of the URL. I suspect someplace in the database has a reference to the site.

The "problem" here is that the CFC server only has a limited amount of capacity for downloads, and everything which exceeds 10 mb needs to be uploaded elsewhere, and you can put in a link as reference instead of the files. And since AtomicGamer was CFCs host, and was also a gaming file host with a high upload limit, quite people used it.

Which reminds me, need to upload me own mod again :/.

Unrelated: Speed is good here.

It's really slow now - super slow getting here via the email link, and slow getting around from page to page once I'm here.

EDIT: Immediate after hitting "submit" I got a blank blue page with this message:

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to push.tapatalk.com:80 (Connection timed out) in [path]/mobiquo/include/function_push.php on line 345
I have no idea what this means. I don't use this "tapatalk" thing, whatever that is.

I am happy to report my first notification email since the move. I am glad to have the function back.

Speed is great sometimes, and sluggish others. Hopefully it is still the last of the DNS being done.

The way pages load seems to be counter-intuitive. For starters, it seems to mostly not want to display anything until it has everything available to display. Since forums are about the text information and not the graphics, it seems to me that it should be willing to display the text even if it feels the graphics are unavailable.

Which is the 2nd counter-intuitive thing I've noticed: It seems to think the graphics are unavailable. This seems like the kind of thing it could just pull from my browser's cache.

Many attachments are not coming up properly. While some connect and download fine, others link to a "Clear.gif" that is 1 by 1 pixel and no file downloads. Specific example:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=396772&d=1437783429

The link that leads to that is in the first post on this page:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=484198&page=143

I am having this same issue with the attachments on this thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=256665&page=2

the attachment link just opens a blank page and nothing happens.

Also, my speed here is good, no slowness to note.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I didn't see the chit-chat thread on IALS as unread (with bolded fonts), even though new posts had been made.

The new IP address is 209.95.44.225, as shown by pinging civfanatics.com.
