Server migration completed

For some reason, since the site came back up, I've been unable to see a list of members who are online at that time within a given subforum, even when I'm logged in. Is this change deliberate, or is it a lingering issue of the migration yet to be resolved?

It was disabled to speed up the forums.

Aside from the search being disabled, the "who's online" has been disabled for the time being.

another thing i noticed is that suddenly i automatically seem to "subscribe" for any forum i post in. and thus get notification emails regarding later posts.

How are you able to locate any forums with the search option disabled?

It's much faster for me now, even when using wifi and not LTE.
Do you guys see improvements?

It does look like its DNS related.

If you don't want to automatically subscribe, you can change that in your user preferences in your profile.

The social group new/unread posts bold font works, and I also got an automatic email notification of the reply - which did not say one word about phishing. :goodjob:

Yes, much faster for me than 4 hours ago or so (even faster than before the server migration). It's still occasionally hanging for a few seconds, like 10 very fast page requests and then suddenly one that needs 5 to 10 seconds, then again a bunch of very fast requests, etc.

Double posts are also occurring.

I used to use the "Today's Posts" item under "Quick Links" all the time, but it appears to be gone

Speed is much faster now.

I have re-enabled Who's Online feature.

I can confirm it's faster, but still slower compared to before the migration.

I think it's still due to DNS, as I haven't made any more changes and speed becomes faster.
The server load is very low consistently.

Once the DNS changes get propagated to all ISPs, speed will be even faster.

Let's see how it goes Monday. If sill good I will consider re-enable forum search.

Faster now for sure, maybe not quite as fast as pre-migration but I can barely notice the difference.
