It would seem when we don't take part in your war on terror, you embargo us, and when we do, you embargo us. We call upon to remove your embargo or we will be forced to take actions. If this embargo is not removed within 1 Month, I take out my(Citgo, maybe you've heard of it) 14,000 Retailers(assuming each gas station has 2 employees, a low estimate, a loss of 28,000 jobs), my 4 large-scale American refinerys(more unemployment) and with Venezula owning 6% of U.S. refinery capacity thats a big hit. I employ 4,000 employees at the Houston HQ alone. This will create a drastic spike in American gas prices. I'll no longer supply low price oil to Boston, the Bronx, Maine, Vermont, Delaware, Rhode Island, or Pennsylvania. That leaves you with a LOT of cold constituents, not a good thing for the administration, to start out with. Your 5th largest oil provider will no longer be giving you any oil, thats a 1,100,000+ Barrels a day you need to make up for, fast.

Estimates( from your own country http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/energy/2006-01-11-citgo-cover-usat_x.htm) say you'd have 90 days until your economy was crippled or destroyed. After the cripplage, you have a little over 1 1/2 years to find a new supplier before the SPR runs out of barrels.

I leave you now with the choice to cripple your nation, or lift this senseless embargo. I have found something worse than a woman scorn, Madame President, and it is the scorn of the people of the Greater Bolivarian Republic!

Looks like Hillary will be a one turn president ;)

Edit: I intend to join this NES right now. I am still deciding where...

Your excuses and lies do not add up. You say one thing, and the next moment you turn around and do the complete opposite. How can you support a peace-keeping mission one minute- to defeat the very same rebels you have just assisted- and yet the next you're siding with them in driving out a legitimite government! In addition, we have evidence that you have not only been funding FARC but working in togethor to defeat the true government of the region- for only your gain.

Therefore, we have no choice but to deliver an ultimatium: withdraw completly from Columbia and turn over control of the region to an UN sponsered force before another government is put in place, or face the full wrath of Brazil. We only offer blood for blood, deatyh for death, and devastation for devastation- but remember it is you who is bringing this upon yourself. Failure to comply with this demand will result in an uneding war between the State of Brazil and Venezuala, along with its allies. May God give you the courage to ignore your own greed for a moment and do what is right.

@Sheep: We need to discuss...also, have you updated stats?

OOC: I dont think stats are changed... as Germanies have not changed.

Congratulations on your election to be the first female President of our close friends and the most powerful nation in the world. We give you our full support. We shall be with you in your times of strife, and give our utmost sympathy towards the gas attacks on the subway line. We have nothing but despair for the fact that there are cowards who would kill thousands of innocent civillians because they don't like a nation. It shows the true underlying nature of some people, and causes one to re-evaluate the human race and 'civilization'. How can one be civilized yet kill civillians? Always know that you have our greatest support. We hope that the ideals and democracy of your nation can spread to the world, where it is in trouble. Even a stable North-American democracy has had recent undemocratic relapses, causing us to despair in hopes of bringing democracy and stability to Africa.

To/À: Côte d'Ivoire

We would like to congratulate you on the end of your civil war. We hope that our close relations shall only get closer after our aid in your time of need. For the next 3 years we shall keep 2000-3000 soldiers in your nation, peacekeeping and rebuilding. We hope you do not mind, but we wish to ensure that our neighbours and our own people are safe. If resolution II passes, we believe that you should be the first nation to recieve aid from our neighbours. We shall help rebuild your nation, and give your civillians a better life, where they must not fear strife. We pray that your nation may stay peaceful.

To: The People's Republic of China

We thank you for being such gracious hosts of the Olympic Summer Games. We shall always remember Beijing for being the greatest olympics yet, and the first gold medal for the Union of Ghana-Togo.

To: Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

We appreciate the fact that you are holding a democratic referendum to allow Columbia to decide its own fate. However, while we do believe that the course of action taken could have been better, the North Coast of South America is no longer partially run by rebels. We offer an observer to come ensure the referendum is safe, fair, and honest.

To: All the nations that suffered terrorist attacks
À: Tout les pays qui ont souffert les assauts terroristes

We give you our support against the terrorists who bomb civillians and hide rather than protesting peacefully. The protest method has been shown to work, it gained independence for two of the worlds powers of today. We do not know why the terrorists cannot see that, and give you and your nations all the best.

Your ultimatum is rejected for the umpteenth time, you misguided fools. We have given you the facts, and you reject them. We have offered you an olive branch, and you have rejected it. We are holding a referendum to see if the Colombians want to join us and you ignore it. This is intorelable. We are sanctioned and threatened when we fight terror. This is illogical.

We offer the following compromise though, in the interest of stability. on July 1st, we will withdraw from Colombia, and on July 4th, 2009 a referendum will be held by a UN force that is sent in. In the referendum, the citiziens of Colombian may choose whether to join Venezuela to form the Greater Bolivarian Republic, or they may choose to stay independent. The people shall speak. If they choose to stay independent, elections will be held to determine a new government, with the pretenders in exile considered deposed(OOC: as they are to my understanding). With in this new government, individual provinces may choose if they would favor secession to Venezuela over the elected one. Let the people decide.

This is acceptable is it not? We strive for peace and stability, not advocate bloodshed like you Brazillians do.

Ouch... it pains me to see what happened to the NDP... curse that story writer!

Well, it will be replaced by the Green Party, which has a similar platform.

Until then, more Harper. Bleh.

Nice update Sheep.

Good luck funding your conquest of venezula or your social programs then ;).

Plus if you threaten such I give it about 2 hours before the US government seizes the US Citgo facilites with enormous public support

OOC: Why don't you read the update. FARC never took control of Colombia, you invaded due to the Colombian government's "ineptitude" in dealing with the insurgency.

IC:
We will not take Venezuelan threats lightly. In 1990 one of America's nations of import for oil was that of Iraq. But when Iraq invaded Kuwait and showed its face to be nothing but regional bully the United States cut its ties and aided the Kuwaiti people in regaining their independence. Do not doubt our resolve to free the Colombian people. Your nation has shown itself to be nothing more than a regional bully. Your nation's main income is petroleum exports to the United States and your only means of refining are in the US: how well will your nation do without these?

OOC: THe Government was driven out of any real power by the rebels, which began threatening all neighboring nations. The Political Process broke down, and I went in. Besides, with your all out embargo, how would the oil get through anyway. It may be out of my control in the first place

I offer compromise, I offer the democratic choice, and you seek to threaten me that you will massacre my people like you massacred the people of Iraq, on 2 occassions. Our compromise offer still stands. And you should better educate your diplomats. America cannot have my oil if they don't let it out the country. My solution is the best, I urge you too accept it. If not, i wish you good luck with implementing a military draft to recolonize the people of the Bolivarian Republic

To Venezuela
From Germany:

Though we agree on some fronts we must warn your threats, while relevant to the current global situation will swiftly become irrelevant. Most western nations are pushing for cleaner energy, independant energy, which will eventualate in our reliance upon ourselves not our global neighbours. If you were to go through with what you say it would no doubt harm the American People, people across the globe. But i think they have faced enough challenges simply to accept this as another and push forward for a brighter cleaner future. Be warned, terrorists tried to cripple their nation through horrendous acts and it merely stiffened their resolve. You may very well find yourselves doing the same.

Since you cannot listen to reason, since you will not listen to the will of the people, I will look passed Brazil and plead with the rest of the world to listen to the smart, democratic, and best choice, which is to go with our proposed plan. We wish to hear from you all soon.
