Single Player bugs and crashes v35 plus (SVN) - After the 18th of August 2014

Small bug: if you build 5 trade caravans, the unit becomes unavailable for further build until you use up one (working as intended), but the early merchant that was obsoleted by trade caravans becomes then "unobsolete" and you can then build 5 early merchants in addition to the 5 trade caravans. Probably the same with food merchants.

Also, it looks like there's some display bug with the religion symbol which is interpreted like an opening tag or something. My state religion is Andeanism if that matters.

I wouldn't go calling my computer low end though.. i5-4670k, R9 290, 8gb, thought game runs extremely poorly, my gpu now sits on around 30%~load rendering 30 fps on average never going above, starting new game fixes all of that, rendering up to 500 fps on 100% gpu load.
As for CPU, most of the time load on third cpu core doesnt exceed 80%, with rest barely used and ram usage usually sits at around 4.8gb.

Ill give it a go, but there are some other underlying issues.

Edit: it helped

Edit: it helped

Its not the problem with your computer but with one of units models/animation. Its causing crash but for now its impossible to tell which one is broken :(

For example in last week one of the modders (Yudishtira) found that Asian Galleas model is broken although both animations and nif model looks ok in civilopedia and in-game :(

It must be newly constructed unit right? How many animations there are? Walk, attack, death?

Now it crashes right after end of the turn ( with unique unit graphics ), maybe by comparing both saves it would be possible to figure out which unit that might be.

First and second save included in attachment.

Ok Ill check tomorrow that saves. For now I can only says that its not a problem with Babylon or Russian unit sets.

This is by design. Simply because you need a building (which requires pop 6) as well as a tech to build the trade caravans. If we used the normal method to make the early caravans obsolete there would be a period where you would not be able to build any caravan units in your cities.

Latest SVN all my Bison Riders (Egyptian) are red blobs:( Trying to select one caused me to get that error you get when you try and take a screen dump without a unit selected (another annoying error btw)

I'm not sure I follow you. The problem is, the early merchant is not available until all the trade caravans are actually built, that looks strange. I'd expect that they'd share at least the same "national unit limit" if they have to coexist due to the issue you mention.

If I make the early merchant obsolete when you get the tech that allows you to be able to build trade caravans you will not be able to build either until you get a city of high enough population to be able to build the building that allows you to build the trade caravan.

Sharing the same national limit may be possible as this would solve the problem as you would be able to build one in big cities and the other in small cities. If I can get it to work it will cause a non-fatal error in save games. This idea would have probably fixed the problem before we added the tag to force obsolete; where were you 5-6 years ago?

Ok fixed save but sadly not problem. You can play now using ethinic styles of units from this save:
https://docs.google.com/uc?authuser=0&id=0B6VuHphw5zHzMGd3UXJYb3dvazA&export=download

It was problem with Chinese city (Xian, SW part of map). Changed production to meager science from trebuchet and works. Trebuchet model/animation is 100% correct (its from BTS) and I think that other unit from queue was creating crash but its hard to say which one using Worldbuilder.

Cheers, but issue will reappear when AI starts building same unit? Ill try to keep an eye for it if ill crash again.

Ill try to look more on this save and track bug. When I more or less know what is wrong then its much easier to track bug.

Hmm, since a few turns my game has become a bit unplayable, it occasionally crashes non-deterministically when the screen moves to the next unit. There's no message or warning, just a crash to desktop; I can reload the game shortly before the crash and can play a few turns until it happens again a bit further in the game.

That never happened to me before and I don't think my settings are excessive (large map, 15 civs); I installed Sparth's file with standard unit graphics but that doesn't seem to help.

There is unfortunately not much more helpful information that I can provide; do you have any idea what could be causing this?
