Interesting. Are you sure its was gunship, not transport helicopter with infantry/marines onboard?

In the example I was thinking of, I don't think it was even a military vessel and they took the whole island/country. The navy of the conquering nation was then sent in to liberate it for the enemy. It was very confusing. Napoleon III was most amused about it, probably because his country was not involved at all.

If he's at war, the presence of his riding unit there should've already captured it.

As I have noted elsewhere it does not change ownership "all the time/everytime" with the 1st regular mil. unit that enters a Fort or Palisade. Sometimes it takes a 2nd mil unit to make it switch ownership. And I'm not talking about the Cat or Dog units either. And Horseman seems to be one of the main Mil units this happens with.

Is it because the Horseman unit has "extra movement" and that is creating this problem? I don't recall having this problem with spear, axe, or archer though.

Thing is that if you move a 2nd unit in it switches. Or if you send in a group. But sometimes a single Mounted unit may not trigger a switch.

If I can remember I'll try to catch it happening in my current game.

I have never seen that happen. I rarely use horsemen but bison and bear riders don't seem to have the problem. Just trying to narrow down the problem towards finding a solution.

I'm playing SVN 9110 but I've been noticing this bug for maybe a week now. What happens is I have a Galley which I've used to transport units into a city and I hit the unload button and leave the city but they all remain on board.

I can't seem to get either Bison or Bear riders anymore. I thought you made it so only 1 player could have either?

@NevFin,

I have had this problem too. I thought my mouse was going bad so i bought a New one and the game still did it. It's like you have to click the Debark button twice to get the units Off the galley while in the city. Otherwise you "Think" they disembarked until you send the Galley into the Harbor and the dad gummed unit(s) are still on board! Then you have to select the unit on board and tell it to move into the city from the galley. Again I thought it was my mouse going bad so I did not report it and I've been busy RL and forgot to post about it here.

So it would seem there is some weirdness going on in the game.

Another thing that comes to mind during this mouse switching episode, I would click a build item in the build list and it would add the item I selected but then would also add the next one to the right. And it did this with my old mouse and the New mouse I bought. :p

I'll take a look at those issues when I can. Strange about the mounted unit and not capturing right away. It might have something to do with culture. The fort may be captured but the plot perhaps isn't quite yet. Maybe something along those lines.

Unless I'm mistaken, in the current SVN the Parking Lot, Parking Garage, and Chop Shop do not require Automobiles. Other motor car related buildings do.

You have actually made it into the Industrial era!? That is quite the feat.:goodjob:

Building reviews are on the List of To Do items. Thanks.

The modern era, no less. I'm up to Modern Physics. There's been the occasional CTD on the way, but not a reproducible one.

Of course, I'm mostly doing it to see what's out there, since I could crush the AI like a bug... but I'm still plugging on for now.

You are now treading in shrouded realms of wonder. Our ancestors once knew what they were like but we have not seen nor heard much of these mystic places for sometime. Tell us of your travels so that someday we too can walk those far away lands. ;) :D

No offense Joe, but u must have gotten some last night, ur in a darn good mood, lol ;)

I've got another one; at the point Route 66 builds a highway, that's very likely to be actively counterproductive because it will destroy existing railways.

A Gas Station can also be built without Automobiles (and so can Route 66 and the in-city Highway buildings).

A TV Studio can be built without any Televisions.

I'm likin' this guy! Thanks for the reports! (DH? You got these too?)

Many aircraft unlocked by Jet Propulsion do not need Jet Engines.

The Jet Interceptor's hammer cost is much lower than that of the Jet Fighter, although it is much more capable. (Perhaps the Jet Fighter should at least have a better city-strafing ability? As it is, the Jet Fighter is one of those seductive-trap upgrade paths, where if you happen not to have Semiconductors when you get Jet Propulsion, you'll mis-upgrade your Propellor Fighters. Of course, the AI is very prone to going down such paths.)

Denganawida (Iroquois) has a VERY LOUD leitmotif.

Some Wonders (eg The Dali Theatre and Museum) have a disproportionately huge hammer cost compared to where they appear in the tech tree, as if they are an order of magnitude higher than expected.

The Humphrey Metrodome requires specifically a Minor League Stadium, but a Major League Stadium replaces the Minor one. Perhaps this is by design.

I'm keeping editing this as long as I'm last-post. Hope that's OK.
