I won't argue, lol.Settler should be renamed to: Every leader is just over-glorified incompetent barbarian lol.
Players have well over 60% cheaper units and buildings compared to AI on SettlerI won't argue, lol.
Though I'm not sure whether this is due to AI behavior (aka bad programming), or the fact the human player develops too quickly for AI to stand a chance.
I do want to point out that in any case Israel is a cheat simply due to its location (and no, I hadn't edited the MAP, lol, just the starting position).
The starting position that I chose actually even makes sense (minus the coast access, but it's too cramped anyways) - so anyone could put a city there.
It has instant access to 2 super-powerful Natural Wonders that are unlocked at the very first tech in just a few turns from the start.
So, yeah, you could call it a built-in cheat, lol.
Not that I'd CARE.![]()
Still, having 2 Nature Wonders available from the very first tech - is a cheat.Players have well over 60% cheaper units and buildings compared to AI on Settler![]()
I had this with my Hittite(?)_Chariot-turned-Jeep's.I have similar problem with cargo ships (size matter on). Don't know, if it's a right place to complain - just playing pre-11132 svn version (11132 save-break is a disaster for my immortal ~4700 turns game).
Back in antiquity I landed two 3-in-1 axemen on an island. They besieged one city and maybe even got levelup (can't really remember now). Years passed, new techs, new ship upgrades - and suddenly apeared, that no ships can carry those 3-in-1 units any more. But they could carry newly created 3-in-1 <random land units>. Even modern transport ships couldn't do anyhting with axemen, stucked on an island. And the same problem remained after my army conquiered another continent - several 3-in-1 units couldn't find a place for them on paddle steamers/transport ships (even 3-in-1 transports - don't know if theirs capacity combine). It's not a problem for me since I have airports (by the way, they can transport any land unit, no matter if it's 1, 3-in-1 or 9-in-1), but it really seems to be a bug. The old and big one.
I can attach savegame, but it will be 11131 version.
Do you happen to be promoting your transports so they carry people instead of just expanding the amount of troop size groups of units they can carry? For many transports this shouldn't be possible but if it is for some reason, and you take the 'people' transport promos, it would severely reduce the amount of volume available.I have similar problem with cargo ships (size matter on). Stone Tools Gatherer and Mine are valid improvements for silver.C2C revision 11140 issue: different information shown for resources, if mining or stone tool, depending if you mouseover the field of over the mine icon.
One of both is wrong, can't be right both, or?. Same is with other resources, not only mining, if there is wood and natural resource, it shows lubmerjack as way to get the resouce or fruitgatherer, depending of mouseover field or oparation image.

There's no bug. a line or two below where he circled it shows what would happen there if you add a mine instead. It always displays first the most simple solution.Stone Tools Gatherer and Mine are valid improvements for silver.
Few resources have choice between lumberjack or fruit gatherer - Apples are like that.
You can look in Pedia to see what improvements are valid for resources.
So I guess only thing wrong here is purely graphical - inconsistent tooltips.
Run the game in administrator mode, right click beyondthesword.exe file and slect properties, check of the admin box in the compatibility tab.Got this python exception on SVN-11139. Getting it after exiting the civic screen.
It seems so. I didn't think about it in this case. Just had a hope, that promotions "can carry more troops" meant "you can transport more battle units". Thanks for clarifying.promoting your transports so they carry people
Carry more TROOPS would mean what you think. Carry more PEOPLE would mean you become PEOPLE carrier and measure your cargo unit size increments in sets of 1 rather than 100 by unit cargo volume. It's hard to explain the way this works so that SM and the core system can co-exist.It seems so. I didn't think about it in this case.
