I removed the Educate Build Up completely from the game, the only two reasons I ever build entertainment units is to deal with unrest and build dance buildings.

In the F7 menu, all the cities show no religions present despite each city having multiple religions.

You left the AI City manager on didn't you. I turn it off asap when I start my games. Have for years. But upon occasion I have found the game will turn it back on. And the game will change your Specialists settings every time you activate a new specialist. Been this way For EVER!

I can deselect that, but what im aiming for is something that would allow them to auto promote without rolling for armed guard.
Is that setting interpreted differently than the auto promote setting for each individual unit?

This was not the option or place I was thinking of. BUT in your case I would definitely uncheck the bottom left box like tmv suggested.

Hello, C2C Team!

I've decided to give C2C another go after a few years' hiatus. Big difference now is that I'm running on Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS instead of Windows. I've managed to launch C2C but get CTDs when I end the turn with no error message. This happens only a few turns into the game. Details below.

• OS: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
• BTS version: Steam, original release beta
• C2C version: SVN Revision 11641 (v44.BETA.8545 - 2025-05-03)
• Modmods: Rescaled Latitude Limits for 11641
• Scenario: UEM v5.8
• C2C exists in steamapps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword/Beyond the Sword/Mods/Caveman2Cosmos
• Attached: Save file, and a couple of zipped minidumps

I've tried running with a couple of different versions of Proton but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

I'd really appreciate any help getting this up and running after so long!

I think this was just a classic MAF, I was just surprised to see it so early on in the game. Tweaked some graphics settings and now we're golden

LOL I have noticed the uptick in warthogs. But my units have not learned Scuba diving ...yet! LOL Will search the Tech tree so i can do that too!

@Dionysis Usually that is a sign of a rendering problem form have too low of a graphics setting, iirc.

The argument HAS been made that warthogs are a good reason to ensure powerful gun ownership rights. And this guy is riding a horse that's riding a whale. Thought we wouldn't notice. But we did. (play with at LEAST medium graphics settings. Low graphics gives these kinds of wtfs.)

Interestingly, all my graphics are set to high (my Win 11 machine is only a year old and is quite powerful):

It seems that these two settings need to be unchecked.

Never mind found the problem. Is there a way to lower the hunting rewards? At times I was getting a couple thousand from sea animals and my cities are growing so fast they starve at times.
