Single Player bugs and crashes v43 plus (SVN) - After January 2023

Hi, it was a problem in the unit definition in xml, it wasn't set as suicidal. I think I've fix it a month ago, but I didn't test it with the last SVN
Is this to say that a nuclear event source MUST be suicidal? For some kind of bound graphic purposes?
 
The Gestalt Mind reduces the amount produced by the same amount instead of raising all 5% scientific scores.
 
I have to put the ending aside for now.
By the end of Cosmic Era I managed to play 10 rounds in 1 hour and 18 minutes.
The game slowed down terribly, making it practically unplayable.

Al these problems are systemic with Pepper 2000's modmod that gave us the 5 New Eras. It was never tested just accepted at face value Because of all the effort pepper put into it. I reduced Glaring OP problems in the CIVICs as a quick fixfor the Civics.. But the rest of the Bldgs and other facets were never adjusted down to reasonable levels afaik.

I don't know if I have the time anymore to look thru all this. Bldg progression was started by HydromancerX at 5% increments. But by the time u got to Modern Era (Pre Pepper's additions) the levels were 5 -8 times higher in results. Then Pepper took those end values for those bldg lines and increased them by More 5%increase/era. We had production over runs that caused errors because the highest numbers were reached for the limit too fast causing it to flip to Negative values.

Right now the game is only really balanced thru Ren Era maybe thru Industrial Era but after that... it's a crap shoot imho.

No offense meant, I hate Pepper 2000's modmod. It is so tedious and boring by the end of the game now. It feels like it was just jammed into the game to be filler. And the maps are pain to navigate, that is why I just made every space building available to be built on Earth.

It basically was jammed on with the Hope of Multi-maps coming sooner than now.

Gotta agree... It's pretty messy past Ren and Industrial is ok but beyond it gets... well it was not a well regulated segment because relatively speaking we've only just begun to enable games to go so far without mafs and overflows as often. Dev has been stalled as we were breaking into these regions.

Don't give up hope yet though... there's a shimmer of light on the horizon perhaps.

On the one hand, they build extremely slowly, and on the other hand, the roads around cities are not developed to the technical level.
In my current game, I have 52 workers for 9 cities at the end of the industrial era, and my map is full of paths, trails, level transport lines, as well as wooden palisades and even production facilities left over from old eras.
The preservation of old improvements is turned off.
 
In my opinion, it would be expected that after the development of satellites, the enemy cities would be visible on the map. Now we have to wait until the orbital flight for this.

The road function has been messed up for a while. I use Automated Trade Network without improvements, they used to improve every square under my culture influence. Now they just leave random squares with trails or no routes at all.
 
I still manually direct all my workers. The Automate function was never a good thing for me. I don't use any of the automate features at all. And my trails paths dirt road etc are all built just fine.

I wouldn't mind if it never has worked, but it is irritating when it worked good and then it is randomly broken.
 
This "villagers gather and make a scientific breakthrough" event is very annoying...
So is the "Your cities have the flu and lose 2 population" in the Preh Era!

Finally, I managed to normalize things.
I divided the workers into three types of tasks, one group only building roads, one group only urban developments, and one group general developments.
 
The current SVN now allows you to play through the game.
This is the first time in three years that I've managed to do it.
Thanks to the developers.
I almost forgot to write that the goal was, of course, a scientific victory.
