Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

At one point the Khajit caravan in my game had over 100, 000 gold to spare. It may have been a bug, but you could perhaps fast travel to some of the cities and see if they're there and perhaps make a killing.

When it comes to sneaking, I gave up on it. :( My character must be a pretty heavy dude because people in rooms that aren't even close to me detect me right after I take a step while sneaking. I've gotten pretty used to just charge in and decapitating people with my scimitars.

Holy hell, there are scimitars?

I now know who I must be.

Yeah, it came as a surprise to me as well. I was just looking through the boats in the north and found one filled to the brim with scimitar-wielding corsairs. Not as good as an ebony sword, but still a good sword anyways.

Hoarding is a problem. Actually I'm trying to level up my alchemy but the game throws so many potions at me that it's almost useless. I'm at over 70 in alchemy now but every potion I make I end up selling or storing because I don't need them, plus the potions that make your skill go up faster are those that are worth the most, so I end up making very expensive potions that have a bunch of conflicting and useless effects. Soul gems fall like rain also. It seems the game throws too much stuff to loot. Ingredients, potions, soul gems, in particular. I'm at 70,000 gold right now, and I probably have 100,000 worth of stuff to sell stored in my house. Potions, gems, etc. I try to sell the armors and heavy stuff first. I now sometimes will leave stuff that is worth 3,000 gold in dungeon chests because it weighs too much. Skyrim = weight/worth analysis class. It wouldn't be as bad if there was a better way to sort items in the inventory, or icons to quickly see it, or something. I really miss the good old grid of Morrowind :(

About sneaking; I actually find it too easy personally!

EDIT: Just finished the part in Black Reach. Wow.

EDIT 2:

Curved. Swords.

You know those guys in Whiterun looking for the Redguard woman? They carry Scimitars.

There's more of them if you do that quest, so it's not like you have to kill them inside the gates of Whiterun to get their swords.

But the swords are more good looking than they are efficient. IIRC they even weighted more than they were valued, kind of like a pickaxe.

Their damage is alright if you do that quest early on.

What affects Magicka regeneration regarding armor? Is it the weight or armor rating? Is there some sort of graph that shows how much slower it is with certain types of armor?

I don't think it's affected by weight. Mage robes often give a bonus to Magicka regeneration and spell costs and you can disenchant them and apply the bonus to armor.
My Breton has a self made Glass Armor with 20% bonus Magicka regeneration and 17% cheaper restoration spells. Both effects were bundled in one enchantment.

So, Adoring Fan (from oblivion) answering message exists.

Apparently a few years ago someone wrote to the guy who did the voice acting for the Bosmer in Oblivion and asked for the guy to record him an Adoring Fan answering message.

Why are so many things you do end up being in dungeons or caves? Do the level designers have some sort of animosity towards the sky? It's really starting to get bothersome.

...have you never participated in a DnD before?

You mean "have you never participated in a DnD before?" :D

It's a valid complaint that the game is all about Nordic ruins, Caves or Dwemer ruins (I guess there are some forts too). That sums up the theme of almost every dungeon. However, they are obviously hand crafted and almost all of them have individual and interesting stories, it's insane. But yes, nordic ruins especially, are a little over-present. The same claw puzzle etc etc can make it seem redundant to some players I'm sure. But these people obviously haven't seen the redundancy of previous TES games' dungeons :P

Yes, thank you! :D

Now for a sob story: I'm home for break for Thanksgiving and I decided I'd use this time to get some serious Skyrim playing in since I've spent the last week and a half doing nothing but reading, researching, and writing term papers. So I pack up my 360, lug it all the way down to my house, take it out, and realize I forgot the controller. So now I'm going to have to endure 5 days of Skyrim staring at me without being able to play it at all :(. Guess it's more reading for me!

What the hell would you do in the sky anyway?

A decent source of lighting, for one. And something better to look at than a stone ceiling.

I don't know, some of those caves have exceptionally awesome lighting. Some of them to me are on a level with movies like Barry Lyndon. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the lighting, if not for the whole game, at least for a good majority of the caves and dungeons. There are few that leave a something to be desired, but they are definitely a major step up from Oblivion in which half the time I couldn't see anything at all.

I'd still prefer to see the sky, thanks. I'm surprised that a world that's been nuked to hell and back forces me to go underground way less than a medieval winter wonderland.
