I'm planning on getting an xbox 360 and Skyrim during the Black Friday sale, but I was curious as to whether I should get the 4 gig or the 250 gig. I'm more of a casual player and I highly doubt I'll buy very many games for it (maybe 1 or 2 a year, if that). Now, if they put out DLC for Skyrim, then I'll definitely be buying that. If they ever make mods available on the xbox, then I'd download those too.

I realize you can attach USB drives (up to 16 gig), but thought I'd see what others have to say. I've never owned, or even played on an xbox, so I know nothing of them.

didn't know there's a 4 gig version... seems rather small, I'd go with the 60 gig or 20 gig if you can find it. if your only options are those 2 then I'd take the 250 as long as the pricing isn't outrageous. 4 gig is barelyt enough to install one game, let alone DLCs...

The 4 gig is what was out before the 250. I bought mine the year Halo 3 came out.

The 4 gig version has USB ports that will each accept up to a 16 gig drive. From what I've ready, it doesn't matter if you put a USB external HD with more then 16 gig, the console will only allow 16 gig to be used. At this point the only options in the store are either 4 gig or 250 gig. I'm just not sure which to buy.

I think the Skyrim install is even larger than the 4GB drive. I suggest getting the 250GB one for added longevity if you plan on installing games.

yeah most games are over 4 gig now days. I know regarding PC's I won't make the mistake of "saving money" and buying too small a hard drive. You'd be surprised how fast it fills up. It's too much hassle to delete, and reinstall games whenever you are in the mood to play one.

back on topic, I'm up to 60 hours played, still nowhere near the 330 hours played in Fallout: New Vegas. We'll see if I surpass that. I really only plan on playing once initially, and maybe take a break (I may try the Star Wars MMO) for a year or so. I do plan on doing as many quests as I can with this one character.

The game requires more than 4Gb in space. It in fact requires more than 5Gb.

I forgot to ask, why am I not seeing any dragons anymore? I actually have more words than dragon souls now, and I'm out. So I can't get the new shouts. I used to see a lot, but now none. Do I have to advance the main plot more?

Just bad luck I think. Sometimes you may not see one for a long time, sometimes you may see them one after the other until you get quite annoyed at them. It's pretty random.

I have 10 dragon souls and just don't feel the need to use them, and in terms of the main plot I still only reached Whiterun, I mean, I'm doing quests all over the place but still haven't decided to either join the Empire or the Uprising.

I've been attacked twice in the College of Winterhold, twice in Riverwood (they killed the Blacksmith there! ) and I already cleared maybe half a dozen dragons in mountains (the ones that show up on the map and have a wall in it with at least a dragon word), and I have unlocked some shouts I will never use so I don't unlock them or upgrade them, at least just yet.

as you get deeper into the main quest, more and stronger dragons will appear.

I'm specifically stopping myself from doing all the quests with just one character. In Fallout I found that I completed more than half the game's content with my level maxed out. It seemed sort of a waste in retrospect. I'd rather keep the content for later playthroughs with different characters.

I had a slump of dragons at some point. But then two attacked me at the same time, and at one time I could see three from where I was standing in the Whiterun hold. It seems a little random.

Arrows, I guess?

Yes, sometimes I also follow them around and they just fly off. Once one landed right in front of me, got smacked bad and flew off just to land some 100 meters away to fight a bear.

Almost every time I fast-travel to the Winterhold College I get either a frost or blood dragon which attacks the whole group of wizards. It's a pain because there's a chance they might kill the wizards in there (who I actually find likeable) and since there are so many of them, it's filled to the brink with skeletons all over the place.

Seems like you could just buy an iron bow and a few iron arrows to shoot at a dragon if it isn't aggroing.

Has anyone found a way to name enchanted items? So far, when I enchant say an iron sword, it's still called "iron sword" and makes finding it a bit annoying.

Press 'F'. The moment you change anything about the item it reverts back to the standard name, so you should rename it after you have selected your enchantment and the soul gem.

Was that in the listed commands at the bottom of the screen? I swear I looked there. I must be blind or what? Jesus. Anyway, I guess it's too late for all my already-enchanted items.
