Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

Why are there no Argonian or Khajiit children. :(

More importantly: Why are there no Khajit females that can be married ?
My kleptocat can only choose between loneliness and bestiality :(.

Sounds like future DLC to me.

Bestiality? I'm pretty sure there's already a mod for that.

About this... I find that if they're going to put a handful of children thoughout the game (who almost look exactly the same), they might as well not put any. There is this thing with games where, I won't notice something is absent until you decide to put a few of them, and then it becomes an obvious "wut?" thing.

For instance, I hadn't noticed or tried to notice or paid attention to the fact that there were no argonian or khajiit children (or Dark elf or orcish or etc.). Had there been 2 of each in the entire game, it would have stuck out like a sore thumb. Maybe not as much as with the current human children though. I guess with the "odd" races, you can always rationalize that there are very few, but with the humans...

It's the same with how they put like 3 patches of wheat outside a main city, which just serves to help you realize that there are not enough farms in the game to feed everybody. In the end, you could *almost* say that you might as well not put any farms.

I'm sure there is some game designer term for this dilemma.

Not-enough-time-itis.

There is a mod that allows you to kill children if they get too annoying.

Yeah, there is, and has been for a while. If you can call those things children anyway, they really don't seem to have much resemblance to real children anyway. There is no real difference between murdering an innocent male adult or woman (which is already allowed in the game) and murdering an innocent child (especially when they can kill you and/or plot your death). It depends on how one uses the mod that makes it bad, not the mod itself.

EDIT: If anything, beating a kid unconscious using a variety of weapons and spells repeatedly is a lot worse than killing it outright.

Yeah, because when they get back up, they can still taunt you!

The Skyrim HD texture pack does improve things a bit, I noticed anyway. And the workshop is probably gonna help me download mods. I rarely bothered with mods with most games (and had frustration with Oblivion modding), the integration being what it is now though... it's hard to ignore it.

The HD mod has a few oddities though, like radioactive logs and bright purple stumps.

I don't know why you have a problem installing mods, it really isn't that hard most of the time :p

The workshop needs some serious work to make it more organized and easier to search (like a search function).

I added a "map" mod and a "sort your stuff" mod from Nexus with the mod manager; both work great.

I just purchased Skyrim during the sale because of the Creation Kit. Waiting for a total conversion mod.

Don't wait; play it now.

Have you tried SkyUI? It really makes the inventory interface much more PC friendly.

i am using "Headbomb's Better Sorting" and it works very nicely to keep my potions in order (along with everything else, but potions are my biggest headache).

Have they released the construction kit yet? What about a modified EXE for Wrye Slash and Skyrim Script Extender?

They released the Construction Set a day or two ago. I couldn't care less about Wyre Slash, Wyre Bash was nothing more an an annoyance I didn't need to deal with. Having to run more than a couple of mod programs to play a game already (Script Extender and OMOD) was just ridiculous and thankfully very few mods required it.
