Good place for 8th city, ICS isn't bad there, because those cities will not grow to big size.
Also, zerksees asked this question, and I'm going to repeat it - did they attacked elite AC's? If no, we can remove all archers from Lagash and leave only one AC there.

I can play tomorrow, but if Own would like to take it before, I can swap again.

Agree with Own. I don't recall the AI attacking elite AC's but they did attack an AC army in city, more then once.

BTW the army was attacked by a sole LB for me as well. Weird.
Roster check...
Smart--no time
nerovats--survived
Own UP
zerksees - on deck

The last turnset was played one week ago... Own, you have done this few times before, please post a "got it" if you're sure that you can play. Yes, I had this problem too :mischief:, but now I'm trying to post a got it and play immediatly, because nobody knows what can be happend tomorrow.
I'm back :yup:, and I played the next turnset.

Switched tax collector in Sumer to scientist, Monarchy now in 27 @ 0 gpt

Turn 1
Attacked MDI, AC retried.
Have to swith tax collector back because of two new units. Will do it with other scientist next turn too.

IBT
Omg!
First Mayan cavlary attacked Sumer. Another was moved to Lagash.
Romans completed Newtons. We will see riflemans soon.

Turn 2
Killed Cavalry and lose one archer. Whacked pikeman spearman and 3 LB's after redlining with cats [6-1]

IBT
1-hp cavalry attacked my elite archer on hill :crazyeye:
I won [7-1]

Turn 3
Killed two pikes and one swordsman near Sumer. Lose archer [10-2]

IBT
Mayans dropped Cavalry near Kish.

Turn 4
I used two archers to kill it [11-3]
Moved few catapults to Lagash, they are usefull now, after Knights and Cavalry.

IBT

SM1_Leader%233.JPG

I have very good luck in this game, it is my second leader

Turn 5
Ur riots, because I used MP archer to kill cav
Killed roman MDI from caravell with army [13-3]
5 LB's and Knight are ready to attack Lagash. I have only one AC and few archers there. Sent 3 AC's to Lagash.
Moved army from Lagade to cow near Ur, in case if they will take Lagash.

IBT
Mayans asked for peace again :nono:
That stack was moved to the hill, they want to pass to other lightly defended cities.
Killed one mayan cav [14-3]
They also droped cav and MDI near Kish, Rome landed one MDI.

Turn 6
Killed all landings [17-3]
Moved army to Ivory spot, but it have movement points left and can be moved to Lagash.

I'll stop here, somebody have played more or less then 10 turns, and it's 161th turn now. Zerksees may play 9 turns to restore normal turn count :crazyeye:

~> SAVE <~

We have to do something NOW
Rome is in IA and Maya will enter into the new era soon. First of all we should take Mayan city in jungles to found 4 towns for an army. But I have no idea how we will take cities with defence of 12 when they will get riflemans. If we will not capture GL, we will lose this game, because we are behind by two eras :shake:

lurker's comment: This game is intense. GL would be a miracle to you guys right now. Will continue watching.

Played 5. Not having any luck generating an offensive.

Took 13 units lost 3.

Need all our gold for unit support. Need more cities. Built one settler with another coming.

On the last IBT the Roman frigates are pillaging our tiles, and I have had enough tonight. 520 AD is the current turn and it needs to be played.

Good job with settlers, we need three more for the next Army. We need more catapults, because after bombardment, stack of offensive units covered by few defenders will withdrawn if you took at least one hp from each defender. 6-7 Catapults in Agade will allow us to use army for offence. Bad tibira, Erech and Bukhara haven't raxes and must build catapults instead of reg EW's.
We have no land to settle, but army with few archers and cats will do that job. I've made a dotmap:

SM1c_dots.JPG

Yellow dots are places for new towns, town with green dot in center must have walls and will absorb attacks like Sumer. In this case Agade don't need walls and can build cats too. Town on the blue dot can't be defended well and should be built only to make 3rd army, then we can abandon it.

OK I got it. Will do the best I can.

At the moment there are very few units west of Lagash, we could drop a town there. Furthermore we could drop a town in our own territory west of Kish as there is one spot available IIRC.

Also need to investigate whether they will attack fortified elite AC as that may simplify our defense in a few places.

Also interesting is the Roman border against the Mayan border at the edge of the fog to the east.
