I used to say that too, but it has been going on for so long now it is annoying even me now. It is simply ridiculousthat this problem is still occouring so frequently and the webhost is either incapable or unwilling to fix it, in either case they need to be replaced with someone more relaible.

I think were all getting that feeling towards eather the admin of this site or the webhost.
Yeah, there's been some analysis showing that in general you actually have a net loss of money if you cheap out and and don't get reliable servers.

"Monitoring" means in that context that a program is running which detecs the server stats and gives some form of alert if something is wrong. That's how it should be, so nothing special.
Why we have the blackouts is another thing, seems they haven't found it out yet.

Apperently that did not worked since it happened again. If the current webhost is still trying to figure this out after it has happened for months, then it's high time for a more reliable webhost with reliable servers.
