- Disclaimer:
- In the following, I will quote two people. Both quotes are as exact as I can recall them - I do NOT claim the exact wording is historically correct. Also, the second quote is translated from a foreign language - any mistakes in translation are mine - and not intended.
- Also, I do NOT want say the two persons quoted are similar to each other in any way except those noted later on.
- Furthermore, I personally think they are very different, one being a democratically elected president of a free conutry, the other one of the worst dictators and one of the most evil persons in world history
Here's quote 1:
"Every country in the world now has to decide whether it is with us - or against us."
George W. Bush, President of the USA
Quote 2:
"Jetzt muß jedes Land der Welt sich entscheiden, ob es mit uns ist - oder gegen uns."
("Now, every country in the world has to decide whether it is with us - or against us.")
Adolf Hitler, Führer des Deutschen Reichs
Actually, I was shocked when i heard Bush almost word for word repeate Hitler - not because I thought he meant the same, but because he sounded so similar. Doesn't he realize that such strong rethorics may go well with a shocked and hurt nation - but sound overly drastic to the rest of the world?
For a year now I have thought about this, and the more I see of Bush the more I feel he is prone to see the world in black and white, beyond perfection and hellish evil.
What do you all think about it?????? Especially Americans and people from Arabic nations?
