Something you wish you were physically capable of

I wish I could fall asleep on will, just like that. Like ok I'll have 8h of sleep now till I have to wake up, so I go to bed and BAM, I'm snoring. That would be the one thing that would make my life 3x better.

Either that, or in the realm of fantasy being able to function 100% on 1h sleep per day. I'd achieve so much.

Another thing I wish coding 10h straight and/or late wouldn't mess my ability to fall asleep.

To stop sweating so much when exposed to temperatures 25C and above. If I stay in the sun I begin to melt.

Oh god I totally forgot to wish that my hyperhydrosis would just go away

I wish I could hold my breath forever and swim underwater for as long as I can.

I wish I could jump into outer space and fly around and enjoy the view, and then use my naturally evolved heat shield to return to the planet in some sort of a controlled landing

I wish I could moonwalk and do other cool dance moves

Would you also want night vision and pressure adaptation or is being amphibious enough for you?

I'm surprised nobody wished to keep eternal youth yet :p

Real-world: I'd like to not ever get sunburned. Summer activities have to involve excess clothing or sunblock, and I've never taken a tropical holiday. One afternoon under a hot sun without proper planning would raise my chances of getting skin cancer late in life by, like, 1000%.

Fantasy-land: Regeneration, like Logan/Wolverine in the movies. You could do a lot of stupid crap if you knew you'd walk away from it. Not necessarily "Jackass"-type stuff, but things like riding a motorcycle, petting a lion, and walking the rim of a live volcano. In some stories, it also extends your lifespan a lot, sometimes to the extent that you're virtually immortal.

I kinda meant like stuff normal people are capable of like oh I wish I were taller, or could run faster, or had a better metabolism, not wishing for superpowers like flight.

The sunburn thing is great. It's true that dark people can get sunburned and should wear sunscreen, but they also probably don't need it just to go outside and toss the ball around for a few while extremely pale white northerners do like my kids. We go for just a bike ride and I have to sun screen them. My wife too. She's half irish. The kids across the street are half indian. They only wear sunscreen at the beach. Must be nice.

In that case I would love to have the same evolutionary advantage for high altitude hiking as the Sherpas and Quechuas. I am not sure what it is exactly, but I want it, so that it'd be a lot easier to return to Peru or Nepal when I'm an old fart and do some more hiking, as opposed to getting it all out of the way while I'm younger.

I also wish my feet weren't flat, which as a result has made my knees weaker and more susceptible to problems.

People living in high altitude in different parts of the world have actually a couple *completely different* evolutions for it, which is super cool. However, some high altitude populations have no evolution for it, and just make do with regular human acclimatizations, which still works pretty well.

Well, keeping that in mind, I'm a natural athlete, in great shape, with good teeth/vision/skin/etc. and with a family history of good health into old age, so I don't have much to complain about. Would be nice to get back the ligaments I've torn in my ankles. Also less hair growth on my shoulders would save me some maintenance time.

Well you can already do that with lifestyle adjustment.
