Soul Scourge [Game Thread - Concluded]

You know if we all had picked swordsman the scourge could literally not kill anyone at night. Oops.

I just noticed that now that you mention it. I hadn't bothered reading the scum part of the rules as I didn't think I'd be scum.

In any case, I want you to vote Sprig with me. Because my name IS askthepizzaguy.

Unvote; Vote: Sprig

Based completely and seriously on a hunch I have.

What hunch is that? That your my first kill Vig Target?

~~~
While we are on the subject - just need one more swordsman to claim to me to complete my little Scourge hunting party.
In all honesty role claiming is quite stupid in this game as scum knowing the distribution of roles is bad.
No, based on how you are deciding to go about this game.
rule addendum: don't put pms in the thread (no one has for many games, but my laziness of "just be good guys" should probably be codified into the ruleset) ninja edit: actually had that covered in signup thread, but OP here was lazier. explicitly copying over core rules now
Also, does my username say Askthepizzaguy? Why the hell are people randomly roleclaiming to me already?
No, based on how you are deciding to go about this game.
The town wins a lot from networking in this game, because spearmen and shamans can be put to better use protecting people who are likely kill targets (for N1 that's you guys, Zack and Visor).
That said, shopping for Swordsmen is a very questionable action. Vigilantes are always less reliable and less accountable than the lynch, especially this early in the game. Moreover, knowing who the swordsmen are is a gift to the scourges, due to Swordsmen's high attack.
unvote: vote: Sprig
Knowing anyone's role is a gift to the Scourge, because they can better coordinate their attacks in order to maximize efficiency.
1) Visorslash - town
2) Zack - town
3) King Morgan - vote for person above
4) Sprig - random vote
5) SouthernKing - random vote
6) remake20 - omgus
7) bsmith1068 - hasn't said anything therefore likely scum
8) samsniped - omgus
9) count dingdong - hasn't said anything
10) Jarrema - vote for me - means little
11) verarde - hasn't said anything
12) stmarco - hasn't said anything
13) spaceman98 - town
This doesn't say much it does mean we can narrow our lynch targets down a bit. Those who haven't said anything aren't on the block today, verarde is generally inactive, stmarco and dingdong probably forgot game exists because of the fact they're not native, bsmith is always scum.
Now, spaceman has worked with me before, he knows I'm a pretty paranoid networker, and that he would be highly unlikely to get any information of me, I'm leaning town due to his actions so far, and Zack is pretty townie as far as I'm concerned for now.
We must now look at the other options now having near enough 24 hours to cast our random votes.
All need to speak up and add a little more to the conversation.
Sprig if you do indeed have a posse of swordsman and do happen to somehow be town, culling inactives would be a good idea. And there is enough of them the scum can't protect them unless they only have one inactive and if they do mange to survive, then that gives us information in itself.
Yes, but if spearmen properly coordinate their defenses, scourges wouldn't be able to kill anyone (if we followed the "wall of spears" strategy and everyone became spearmen). Even if there are non-spearmen, bowmen and shamans could be coordinated to cover up week spots in the "wall of spears", and the wall could ensure protection for swordsmen and bowmen, whose attack feeds scourges if they get nightkilled.
I was shopping for swords before roles were distributed...
Proof?
The only thing I can find is
Tuswutzio - go warrior and come night killing with me.
which really doesn't indicate that at all.
To be honest, I'd believe him, simply because I'd be inclined to do that myself. Vigging people is fun, and we share the same ideals.
And town can't do squat without some collaboration. It is always going to be a risk but the town benefit from the risk more from it that the Scourge do. And since the only point of swordsmans is to vig - why not round em up?
Nothing else to comment on hmm?
There are currently 4 votes on Sprig, myself included... This is a day 1 plurality lynch, so we have to be serious about our lynching decisions this phase. I'm fine with a Sprig lynch, as known swordsmen specifically are a gift to scourges. That said, I would like to avoid a bandwagon this early (on the off chance Sprig isn't scum, it would be trivial for scourges to jump on this wagon), so I will unvote and let Sprig try to convince me why we shouldn't lynch him.
Temporary vote for
vote: stmarco
Lets not let him off the hook for not contributing just because he's new.
