huh? I've played already...

Spoiler :
Interesting going for pyramids. I wondering though, what are all the granaries for? Our cities are right near the :) limit, so they seem to be a waste. If I'm missing something, let me know.

i was just kidding...

Spoiler :
i'm old school, gran's are usually one of my first builds, but since they speed up pop growth, good for after ze whip

See Splime, Pholk's what we call "drunk". Though certain theories have recently surfaced involving words like "idiot", "nincompoop", and "loser"

Spoiler :
I also agree with Splime about granaries. At least for Pantload and Green Dot. Those cities will grow out of control without them. Splime and Pholk (the cities, not the players) could use a granary, probably.

i thought it was some sort of joke... drunk, lol.

Spoiler :
That's what I thought about granaries. I was considering them in my turnset for the health, but we don't have the resources it needs...

Interesting how we both messed up the number of turns. I'm fine with you going for 20, but it looks as though you [accidentally] went for 21... And I accidentally did 16...

Here's my first report. I messed up my first attempt using Autolog (yep, a path error just like the directions warned). I replayed the 15 turns a second time because I had kept no notes the first time.

Spoiler :

Sounds like a nice turnset. I'll check out the save when I don't have clients complaining for crap I haven't finished for them yet. Damn RL always getting in the way of Civ.

oh, and I noticed that splime mentioned a cult victory...are we aiming for that?? I thought we left vic conditions as a "To Be Determined" `

Yeah, I did a double-take on that too. Then I realized we'd never decided 100%. I still think cultural is going to be tough in this map, but I'd go either way.

Regardless, Splime's choice of not wanting the colossus in Pantload is sound. All your wonders in one city is not good game balance.

If we did go cultural, Pantload and Splime are the obvious first two choices. Can we eek enough hammers out of either of the others?

well, green dot, w/farms on the flood plains, can nab all three hills there, plus w/whipping, we can get a goodly number of improvements done, but i think we'd need a "True Production City" (TM) as our third....

hmmm...have OTHER religions been founded?? Oh yeah, f'in buddhism....now i remember, f-in a-holes discovering it one turn before me....it's proababy a long shot, but if we can find other civs quick enough and spread religion to them, we may be in a good condition to go for Diplo...

With a creative civ in a jungle and I'd be very tempted to try. But on a desert island it's gonna be real tough to generate enough commerce or production to convert into culture. You point out correctly that it might be possible in Pantload and Splime but I don't see a third site with enough grassland or floodplains to become good a commerce city.

I'd tend to avoid wonders for now. We could build a better military, instead. We're going to run into neighbors sooner or later. I'd prefer they treat us out of respect rather than treat us like prey.

To me, priority 1 is navy. The more contacts we make than whoever founded Budhism, the better chance we have of an all-world religion.

Battleships are my friends.

My fear is that they are all on one continent, and someone's been busy sending forth little, flaming buddhist missionaries since 3000 bc....

OK, voting starts tommorow, I just don't have the time to start today. I'll go analyze tommorow also.

Hey Pholk, how'd you change the text underneath your name in forum posts? I've been looking everywhere for that option.
