Star Wars in FREEDEE!

Lucas really needs to stop messing with his own films to make money.

Screw the 3D, I just want to see it in the big screen again. I saw II again a few days ago and forgot how bad the acting was from everybody but Obi-Wan and Windu.

You can't really act well when camera positions are terrible and the dialogue is 6th circle of hell bad.

Ok, this is a parody, right?

Bad acting is the director's fault anyway.

Usually, that's true. Actors that rule, despite all the other actors and/or the movie itself sucked should consider to become directors themselves.

George Lucas wanted another Southpark episode.

It'll be hard to beat the Jakovasaurs episode! :D

There is still a glimmer of hope for humanity.

I am pretty sure Hayden Christiansen is just a terrible actor. It would have been basically impossible to get a good performance out of him. That said, he shouldn't have been cast in the first place.

Natalie Portman was awful in II-III as well, which is a shame since she is an extremely talented actress. It shows she didn't give a damn about the movies and only did it for the paycheck.

At the risk of being considered a Portman fanboy and/or a Lucas hater, I'd say you're not good with actors if you can't even squeeze a good performance from Natalie Portman. Hell, even Liam Neeson saw better days than what he showed us in Ep. I.

That all said, I will go against the crowd by saying the prequel triology was actually quite okay IMO. Yes, the acting was bad (who said the acting was good in original triology?) but the sheer epicness made me easily forget how bad the acting was (and Jar-Jar). The only problem was that the originals still masked the terrible acting better than the prequel triology.

The storyline and the world in Star Wars film is good enough to overcome the mediocre acting. So whenever I watch it I put aside my critical thoughts and just put my nostalgia glasses on and enjoy lightsaber duels. Anyway I wouldn't say Portman's acting was "awful" she did just enough to get by..and she is incredibly attractive so that makes up for any acting deficit..

I say that Obi and the Chancellor were the only two casting choices that were perfect. Mace was just SLJ being a bad ass mf like he is in all his movies. Portman really phoned it in in the last two movies and the writing was just horrible in general.

The originals actually make sense.

At least it's not a chick flick. Chick flicks in 3D suck.

Jake Lloyd's acting combined with the insufferable Jar Jar Binks ruined The Phantom Menace. Jesus, it's like Lucas saw some episodes of Amos & Andy and thought it would be totally awesome to have that as comic relief in front of a modern audience. Oops.

I think it was just hard for Portman to redeem some of the dialogue she was given. And I am glad to see that Lucas is still delusional where he thinks a movie series where numerous people die, people get their limbs chopped off regularly, and has a heavy focus on politics is specifically for children aka he horribly screwed up Episode I and tried to justify it retroactively.

Mace was just SLJ being a bad ass mf like he is in all his movies.
Mace was in no way shape or fashion a bad ass ass mf SLJ character.

Mace did absolutely nothing in the prequels. He was boring and monotone like all the other characters, even in the scenes where he was supposed to be emotional and passionate. His fights were just heavily rehearsed choreographed dances just like all the other Jedi fight scenes.
